I bought this album when it first came out and have just about played it to death over the years. It is my favourite album of all time, they are all playing great on the recording. I was lucky enough to see Barney at a local jazz club some time in the eighties but I thought that in personal performances he often tried to play too fast to impress. he didnt need to because his playing always impresses. sadly missed but thank goodness for youtube.

I grew up listening to this album cuz my dad played it all the time..it took me years to realize what geniuses these cat were..and now i can listen to it anytime i want to..=)
