@PzownedProductions And theres a ton of faster V8's, so why not go for those? The 2.3L Ford is capable of 1000hp and has won best small block power adder at Drag Week a few times. And remember, a ton of V8's (all of the LSx family) fits into the small block class, and the 2.3L Ford took the honors.
@PzownedProductions No my point was why change the engine at all when the 2.3L Ford is plenty capable. This guys not even pushing the 2.3L Ford to the limits, why does he need to swap to anything. And my 2nd point is, if he is goign to swap anything, why swap to a shitty 4 popper, if he's going for all out speed swap to a V8, people are knocking out 200mph 1/4 passes on personally owned vehicles, KA24 thats running 7s (not even sure if they can) is most likely sponsored and a trailer Queen.
@brapboys503 And thats not a 4 popper, so why not just toss in a Terminator 4.6L, theres an Outlaw car running one of those doing 6's. And that way you don't have to swap import into a domestic chassis. End of Discussion, lol.
@brapboys503 If you are pushing 1500+ hp don't think that straight 6 is going to be sipping fuel, will drink just as much as any other turbo'd motor pushing the same power.
@1Kurgan1 Absolutely, although turbocharging has nothing to do with fuel consumption, the rest of the built parts in the engine would still suck fuel, but with a mild cam and big boost (check out Nelson Racing Engines on Youtube), you could still see 14-16 mpg on the RB, whereas the pushrod V8 sucks it down even under 3,000 rpm. I like V8's as much as the other guy, but they belong in trucks that can pull shit.
@brapboys503 The Terminator I suggested isn't a pushrod motor, it's DOHC. But pushrods can be great on gas as well, my 3800 v6 pushrod is putting down 450whp and I can knock out 32mpg on the freeway. The LS7 in the ZO6 doesn't even get gas guzzler tax and it is 505 flywheel hp. Gas mileage is going to be more based on gearing, not displacement. If you are putting down a set amount of horse power, you are going to need a set amount of fuel, displacement isn't going to change that very much.
@brapboys503 Damn youtube type limit :p Anyways, turbocharging does effect fuel consumption. SC runs off your accesories and robs power. Turbo uses wasted power you would otherwise be throwing out your exhaust, uses that to turn a turbine that turns a compressor returning air to your car giving you more power. It's why a lot of new gas sippers are coming with turbo's, they increase fuel mileage by reducing power that gets lost.
does it have a front chin spoiler on it? if so what is it off of?

@brapboys503 Why toss Nissan junk in there? Jonh Huber is making 150mph passes in the high 8's with his 2.3L.

Probably because the KA24 is the second-fastest four-cylinder in the world behind Mitsubishi's 4G63...

@1Kurgan1
That's not the point though, your point was why add the second-fastest I4 in the world in there. Has nothing to do with V8's, or anything like that.

@1Kurgan1 RB30DETT. End of discussion. Those engines have already put down 1,600 hp to four wheels in a couple of GT-Rs.
