A little correction in my previous comment. Instead of 'they're NOT studying it. It's actually "they're NOW studying it. People from Japan, Korea, TAiwan and China are now studying the English language.

Not all Asians don't speak or understand English. English is widely spoken in the Philippines, in fact LP's song "In the End" became number 1 in the Philippines for almost a year. Filipinos just love that song. English is also widely spoken in Singapore. But English is not widely spoken in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China. But they're not studying it.

It's unfair to compare Asian audiences (Japanese) to american audiences. For one thing, english is not widely spoken in Japan, very few japanese can speak or understand english, and asian people are well-behaved, they don't act like tigers fighting in the middle of a concert, for them it's bad manners. In fairness to Japanese, though they don't speak or understand english, LP albums are selling like hotcakes in Japan. Understand first Japanese culture or asian culture, before criticizing them.

Ive been a fan of LP and Jrock for a long time, and one thing I learned is that Japanese audiences, pay respect to the artist, by sometime just listening quietly. So they are not used to it. Unlike us Americans they have respect and let the artist express himself. They dont even make a sound till the end.
