Verry Simple verry fast..verry effective..& beautiful....now that is photoshop Skill right there..thx for posting it..keep up the good work....PS: if you add a little Noise...and a bit of gaussian blurr...and then aplly..the distort effects..the Orb comes out..pretty awsome..XD

yeah, there is a small artifact in the center from how the polar coords wrap around, but meh..

oh btw, a better way to flip the image would have been to use Edit > Tranform > Flip Vertical instead of using Rotate Canvas btw..

when i hold shift, nothing happens, it just makes a normal box shape. same with like everything, whats wrong?

make sure you have the elliptical marquee tool selected instead of the rectangular marquee tool. (hold left mouse over the marquee tool for more options.)
