Josh rebanded Buckcherry and made it better then ever, VR made some great music but Scott pulled and Axl (except not as much of a dick) and now they are back to no singer. All the material they had when he tried out for them was written by the other guys he just came in and worked on some stuff with them for the week or two he lasted. Well i know he recorded 10 songs in the studio for them, and then they just let him go and never put that to use, or redid it with scott, i'm not really sure. i believe, and of course in my own opinion, than getting a singer to please old and new fans is hard, for once , he can't sound or act like axl but he can be too far from the GNR sound that they ( the band ) likes, i wen through that on a much smaller leve and the 3 fans we had loved one singer, and it was really hard because when we wrote we wrote for one type of voice we liked, but it is clearly noticeable that those guys are really made for each other, the y just don't sound right separate

The whistle part in that song isn't that hard if you practice it. I think Matt sang that perfect I wish there was a full version of it

I remember seeing Weiland and Duff McKagen on MTV a few years back, holding each other and proclaiming that they had helped each other get through rehab, helping get Weiland back on his feet again and over the firing that year before from STP. VR was a stepping stone for Weiland.

On the real real, Scott was a good and unique singer, but but he was also a druged out self absorbed asshole. my band met up with velvet revolver in fresno with matt and not once did scott show his face. slash and matt said he was in a hotel room across town (not tweeking out or anything right??) and i know that thats all part of rock&roll but he was not even at the meet and greet! those people payer upwards of $300 for those tickets and he did even feel the need to be there

Search Velvet Revolver under news and you will find VR has broken up. STP will reunite this summer for some shows.Duff said that VR does not represent what he is about anymore. Velvet Revolver will finish up the tour in April and likely part ways. This may or may not be the perfect time to start over or pick up Axl and Izzy. Who Knows?
