  • This song always reminds of a love affair from long ago. One of my favorite songs by Laura.

  • Bless all Sing it girl Blieve me she sounds like she knows from where she sopeaks!!chacka

  • Hearing Laura's original of "Stone soul picnic", impressed me enough to seek out more of her music, then I heard "Buy and sell", it blew me away, turning me into a true fan - but it was THIS song that made me fall head over heels, truly, madly, deeply in love with her. The best romantic drama Hollywood never made!

  • She played the Festival Hall early seventies. My writing partner and I had front row seats and kept asking her for her controversial cocaine songs which she found amusing. I don't remember her doing December's Boudoir. No-one else but her could have conceived of such a piece. It still produces spine tingling sensations when revisiting the song and it still stands out as her most accomplished composition. I left behind a host of french converts when I left St Tropez in 1968:

  • I love this song even more now than the day the LP came out, when I was in my early college days. Laura Nyro is my all-time favorite female singer/songwriter/poet/performer. I Feel so blessed to have had many of her albums & spent many happy years with them on full blast while I grew past my formative years. . .to become an afficianado of similarly unique talent. Still, Laura is & always will be in a class all her own. An angelic gift...lent to us but for a short while...a genius beyond measure.

  • she's just singing with the angels

  • "They fill me like melons. Touch me with civalry." Absolute, pure, bloody genius.

    God rest her soul.

  • This song is like a breathless journey. Enchanting.

  • One of the most beautiful songs of all times and not known enough

  • No other living singer would have dared to sustain

a dissonance such as here with the word 'chivalry'...

but, thank God, Laura wasn't really about what 'everybody

else was doing'...she could truly bend time and space...

  • never heard this before.

  • I hope there will be a record company who will rerelease her albums remastered. It's so hard to find them in record stores

  • Laura Nyro - my all time favorite what a great song

  • magnificent. she was a genius...

  • My heart stops.

  • Such a mysterious song. Definitely points the way to "New York Tendaberry". It would have fit on that album. I love the lyric "I'm ageless loving you timelessly". It's like a hiku. But it's a challenging song. I was a Laura fan for a long time before I could really listen to it. It's so unpredictable. I never cease to hear something new in it.

  • I actually performed/arranged this song 3 days ago as a jazz/university project it was filmed but i probably wont put it on the tube :P

  • This song says it all...truly I know.

  • awesome
