  • ... that is a canter. the.horse is a saddlebred. thats how theey canter. its smooth l, collected and is "rocking horse like.

  • haha, notice how the horse is soooooo sweaty and its not even a canter!that was more like a fast trot,it does look smooth though

  • @1996icedtea christ you know nothing. Can't people refrain from making comments if they're going to be negative!

  • @clairmatinaustralia i was just sharing my opionon you dont have to be rude,if they did not want people to share their opionon then they would set it that way.Have a nice day:)

  • @1996icedtea i guess you have a point about the owner of this video allowing comments.... so fair enough. :)

  • That has got to be the smoothest canter I have ever seen! Looks super comfy!

  • Looks very smooth! Jealous!

  • @LittleGagaMonsterx And I love when idiots go around bashing people on youtube for not adhering to someone else's personal opinion. Its their CHOICE not to. Personally I think a helmet is relatively useless and I would rather die then wake up the next day paralyzed, and guess what?? Its MY choice. So get over it.

  • He is stunning, and the action on him is incredible. Looks effortless. I grew up riding on a Morgan farm that bred for saddle seat traits, and my first few shows back then were in saddle seat. When done correctly, its such a beautiful way to ride. Brings out all the natural intensity and beauty of a horse with high stepping action and lots of spirit.

  • He has a beautiful collected canter! :)

  • gorgeous canter, gorgeous horse. is that an arabian?

  • Gotta love Saddlebreds.

  • wow! cool canter!

  • I love the way people decide not to wear helmets bareback just because they're older and experienced and it's legal..

  • @LittleGagaMonsterx you said it well. Older experienced and legal. therefore, it's their choice. Respect it.

  • it looks like you have no release. my goodness let him go.

  • Your canter looked easy & awesome! He has a smooth canter and I thought you guys looked awesome! Great job riding. I have never cantered on my horse I have now but I've been told by the lady she's had before that she has a smooth canter. Her trot feels smooth, maybe her canter will to me, haha.:D Awesome job & Beautiful horse!

  • can someone plzz help me, i can trot and walk bareback on my new horse but when i want my horse to canter its like he's puting his head in between his front legs and starts trotting or walking again, i really want help. i can ride him with a bareback pad easy and hes ok, ive been riding bareback for 5+ years on other horses but on my new one(the one im talking about) will just trot. plzz help me!(he rides english and western)

  • Good seat in the canter, you may need to wear a hat and get a bit of speed my horse is like 2x the speed of that when he's in canter!

  • Schmancy! :) he's beautiful

  • Saddlebred?

  • thats such a pretty canter! my horse his trot i faster than that! thats cause hes a hyper little guy :)

  • what is that horse breed teenesee walker??

  • Amazing canter. Almost none of the horses I ride go that slow

  • That's the prettiest canter I've ever seen! Love your horse!

  • Your horse is so beautiful!

  • Oh my gosh! That horse is amazing!

  • wow that looks so nice! ive never ridden a gaited horse!

I thought the Appendix im leasing had a nice canter!

  • that canter is so different than what I'm used to with the tb i ride. haha. but, maybe you should water down that area before you ride so you don't have to inhale a ton of dust? that's what I do.

  • gorgeous! looks very comfy, and your horse picks his feet up wonderfully! it looks soo smooth!! :) Very pretty!

  • @ravenmorrigan This horse must be a special gaited breed that lifts their feet higher and slower for fanciness, ask the video owner. I know it isn't a bad canter though.

  • damn, that canter was sooooo gorgeous :)

  • Slow Mo. Lol

  • Woah Very fancy! looks like your horse would be excellent in dressage if it's not alright in it! gorgeous!

  • WOW VERY nice!!

  • coool, but but you dont have to be so hard on his mouth, maybe try a bitless bridle that would be even better

  • wow! is he a tw?

  • that horse is gorgeous :)

  • @ victoriaeve1 - She is clearly a saddleseat rider, her arms are just fine for that diciplines equitation.

Nice riding, looked like a wonderful canter!

  • my horses name is sonny too hes an arabian what your horses breed?

  • that canter is wicked (:

  • are you a saddleseat rider?

  • You're a great rider and your horse is beautiful, too!

  • isnt that called troping?

  • its a saddle seat canter so no

  • that looks so comfy!pretty horse 2!

  • awesome! was that a morgan yuor riding?

  • Comment removed

  • This is fake..look in the related vids and theres another one..the same one and she has a saddle

  • no cuz in this video she starts out at the gate and in the otyher video the horse picks his feet up higher and in the other video the rider has her hands are way higher

  • Ok. I see now. there two different ones.

  • your horse looks very comfy lol

  • is that a dressage canter? it looks great. :) x

  • Beautiful horse, I would only say his head was a tad behind where it should have been, but he was doing wonderfully, and you are a fantastic rider. :)

  • Are you sure that was a canter? Great job!

  • that was a canter!

  • beautiful horse! dont kno much about gaited horses but the horse seems to drag his back feet...is that normal? just wondering....

  • oh my goodness! wat a beautiful canter! it looks so fun :) x

  • OMG that horse is gorgeous!!! ur so lucky to have such a beautiful horse!!

  • It's a pleasure canter, so its slower than a normal canter would be. It's mainly for show, to see how the horse moves during the action and also, some horses like to canter a lot so they might do a pleasure canter instead of a trot, but it'd be nearly the same speed.

  • wow...that looks very easy :) lucky u huh ;D

  • is that a 4 beat canter?!

  • pretty=]

    plz sub back=]

  • i think its a saddlebred!

  • the canter is well strange! :s

  • Beautiful horse! That looks like a smooth ride. :)

  • O_o he is so uphill!!! Wow.

  • try to wear riding gear

  • he looks like he is liping on his hind right leg

  • wow how beatuful!! it looks really smooth!

  • beautiful! :)

  • beutiful!

but the horse looks like its bing weighed down.....:/

    lols yu 2 look goood!

    x

  • Gorgeous horse!

  • for some reason

    u look better bareback! haha

  • Cool, gaited horses are most interesting to canter. Looks real nice for both you and the horse. =] Congrats too, for the horse. Almost every horse I ride bareback bucks like a bronc. Except for a few of them... =]

  • he looks like an arabian ;-) Beautiful

  • Wow he has gorgeous form!!

  • Wow Your Horse Is Amazing Such a Lovely Mover =]

  • Very nice uphill canter!

U r so incredibly balanced! I wish i had that!

  • Your horse is beautiful!!!

    Good job.

  • Whoo!! what a fancy canter

  • Thank you!

  • U R awesome!!! I have a horse, and I ride him bareback, 2! I'm not as good as u tho...

  • Such a beautiful horse and smooth canter. He looks just like my little Champagne Fizz mare - best horse in the world. What's his breeding?

  • He's by Attache's Liquid Asset and out of Third Edition. I do agree, the Champagne Fizz horses and Attache horses have very similar faces, but unfortunately, my boy didn't get the GORGEOUS Fizz neck.

  • WOW!! his canter looks so smooth! and you look like a very good rider yourself. i hope you both do great in what ever you show in this year! =]]

  • That horse has a smooth gait.

  • that horse is super consistant!!

  • i really love your horse :) he's so well behaved .. hehe. looks like fun! you gonna show him this year? in what division?

  • We'll be showing this year, in open saddleseat pleasure at the open shows, and hopefully show pleasure at the rated ones.

  • cutee! he might be a cute equitation horse cuz u are definately a good enough rider!!!

  • This is a very nice horse. you look great on him.

  • your a good rider....:P

  • i have no clue about it so from my point of veiw u did good

  • He looks amazingly smooth.

  • well done cantering bareback! i no how hard it is the first time i did it i fell off!

just one thing though you could try letting your hands go a bit more as there a bit fixed and restricting the canter movement.

and before anyone says im leaving nasty comments, im not i only suggested something and please dont say i no nothing as i've been training in dressage for several years!

  • I do appreciate the advice, and if I were riding dressage, you'd be correct; however, most saddleseat horses are taught to move off of contact on the reins, so my hands aren't restricting his movement.

  • yea i do know about riding with contact actually as i have an ex racehorse

  • and yes, alot of saddleseat horses are trained off of contact. You only need light contact though. I have been doing saddleseat for many years, and know it is hard to get it perfect, but it a great way to ride. Keep up and you'll get better. :-)

  • yes, i agree, and try putting your hands up a little more, it will keep his head up and give him a more natural head movement.

  • exactly so i'm not talking crap like you basically implied

  • Wow that horse is so pretty and has a very nice gait! Great job : ]]

  • I think the statements of the youtube user that commented on your video are ridiculous and show the level of education and the certain back ground that person is from.

that type of canter is very hard to acheive, and you do it extraordinarily well! nice horse, ( arabian X spanish ???)

and you have a pretty good posture on him/her!

    thanks for the great video!!!

  • Thank you. =) He's a purebred, registered American Saddlebred, for those of you who've asked.

  • wow, i've never seen anything like that breed in europe and australia! beautifl horse!

  • thats a really cool canter whoever trained him must have been amazing! he is like the perfect ridint horse! ive never seen a canter that smooth!

  • What a smooth canter! It must be a little strange to sit, after riding a canter like Falon's. =P (Falon is my horsie. xD)

  • nice horse!! what breed?

  • Saddlebred, I'll bet.

  • he's arabian and doing dressage. u can tell by his neck

  • actually I would guess half-arab and doing Country English Pleasure..

  • no shes saddlebred doing saddleseat.

  • hahah. nice try, its a saddlebred. arabians r'ent that big. and just cause their neck is under doesnt mean their arabian. && lol shes doing saddlseat

  • no, he is a saddlebred doing Saddleseat. dressage is very different from saddleseat.

  • He is doing huntseat not saddleseat. Know your seats before you try to correct someone.

  • umm NO know your seats!! god, u made urself look relly dumb..no offense.

  • lllolll

  • wow.

everyone putting you down should seriously go commit suicide.

    that is one amazing canter.

if you trained this horse, just...woah.

hes so collected and he picks up his feet so well.

his canter looks amazing to sit in!

    thankyou for posting this!

  • You did such a great job! Your seat was perfect and the fact that your horse rides so smoothly makes it such a pleasure for you I bet...

  • the front looks good but the back legs look a lil messy

  • yes, but remmber, it is in sand. sometimes, sand can create a little difficulty for a saddleseat canter. Exspecially if you are keeping the horse slow and staedy like the rider did very nicely.

  • um.. i'd like to see you try. u have no idea evidentally thats its hard to learn. its hard to keep a horse that collected and look that good at the same time!

  • so dumb , what happend to the reall horse, i hate dresage so unatural im not gunna get iinto that shgit with you cause ill win, its my opion and you have yours, look at the movie dresage abuse on youtube, thats whatr dresage is

  • umm.. babe idk what ur talking about?? and i dont do dressage i do saddleseat. and to make the statement: dressage is horse abuse is not true, and yes i have seen the vids thanks.

sure it can get out of hand when they arent thinking of horses as true animals but things to win on, i agree! but alott of ppl love the sport and do it correctly! i have ppl that do dressage at the stables i go to, and its just as gentle as anything else.

  • i dont like dresage and sadleseat its dumb like i said MY FUCKING OPION!!!!!!!!!! AND UM NOT YOUR FUCKING BABE!

  • umm ur a little weird. i know its UR OPINION but its foolish. i guess ur just a foolish person. u obvioulsy arent very educated andd you say false statements! get a little knowlegde b4 you go around makking yourself look like a asshole. ok? wow ur mature for making this into a lovely conversation. i was replying to someone about the saddleseat canter and ur attacking me with ur fake knowledge abt dressage?? wow get a life.

  • u probly think its dumb causeyou DONT DO IT and u know nothing about it! what do u do western/?? yea.

  • ur such a dick this isnt even ur horse shut up im a trainer i know what i talking about your probabley some dumb kid dont talk to me

  • umm yep sure am i turn 14 in feb. proud of it 2! im obviously more mature than you! u had bad teaching skills, what ru teaching, that dressage is abuse?? wow u should win an award.

  • hey i dont teach dresage is abuse young lady, it is an example of ehy i dont like it

  • lol ok

& now ur calling me a young lady hehe

  • I'm friends with the person that owns this horse and I know her personally. She doesn't abuse her horse, and actually takes excellent care of him. So thanks for your ignorant input, djb. ;-)

  • umm..my arabian holds her head like that naturally and she can take her self where ever she wants to go

  • umm ur really stupid it looks nothing like a trot and u obviusly dont know anything about it.

  • I think it's a nice canter too. Got a wet butt after that one Britty or wasn't he sweating? Makes me want to try him bareback. O.o

  • incase u dint no its called a dresage canter so u can shut up ur gay for postin that its a very good canter nice vid and horse:D

  • its actually saddleseat, it says on her other vids =p

  • This is not saddleseat. saddlebreds don't wear pelhams while they do saddle seat. Hunt horses in the saddlebred circuit show in pelhams. I have been training and showing saddlebreds for 17 years. And this is a very nice hunt horse.

  • soryy to tell youu... this is saddleseat ive already asked the owner.. in previous vids shes been in a hunt saddle b/c there wasnt a saddleseat one available or something. and down below on deltadude's comment it said "saddleseat" again, but thanks.

  • And.. in your 17 years of experience, may i ask have you everr seen a HUNT with leg motion like that, using a doublebridle, and a high head?? I think not. and by looking at its other vids you can see it is a saddlebred doing saddleseat, like i said when i first commented on this video.

  • Calm down guys. I remove his shoes during fall and winter and bring him down to work the muscles in his shoulders and hindquarters more. He DOES still have his shoes on in this video, but he is wearing the bridle that I use to show him huntseat in. In response to Kiley's comment, some horses do wear pelhams to show saddleseat in. Not all saddleseat horses go perfectly well in a snaffle and a curb. So everyone's right. Or wrong. =)

  • He is not wearing a double bridle he is wearing a pelham. I was not trying to offend anyone. I think the horse is beautiful huntseat and saddleseat. I just know showing Curcit shows saddlebreds must wear double bridles in saddleseat. I am not trying to get in a fight with anyone.

  • that is a gay canter

  • umm ur a fag.
