Is it not worth just taking a punt on a young team? Players like Gerrard, Terry, Lampard etc. are getting too old and although good, don't have another World cup in them. Why not take a hit in the Euro's and then actually having a team that is young, gels well having played with each other for a long time and is mature when it comes to the World cup and maybe the next Euro if needs be?
But this will never happen, because that would require showing trust in a manager even when he loses!

We might have beaten Germany if the referees werent bent. We go in at 2-2 and we're not chasing the game, therefore we don't leave ourselves exposed at the back like we did.

Plus, if we're gonna lose, we should at least have our team full of Englishmen, including the coaches and shit. Having a foreign coach is ridiculous. Therefore, Redknapp is awesome for England coach in comparison to ANY foreigner. (BTW, don't know the first thing about Redknapp, so don't know if he is a crook etc.)

@ps2peter simple, you guys always have bigger expectations than anybody else in football. And a lot of fans are unrealistic of how good national team actually is. EPL is the best league if you ask me, but that doesn't mean that English play the best football. Lower expectations and no one is gonna give you crap and team will play much better.

@ps2peter I just saw your reply beneath and yes I agree your press is always doing bad to national team. I watched a documentary "One night in Turn" and it shows how much influence rumours in newspaper have on national team and what they put Sir Bobby Robson through right before the World Cup.

@ps2peter I must explain: People all around the world have a strong connection to the english national team. Thats why the dissapointment is greater. France, Italy...are considered assholes so we laugh at them too, but there isnt that much emotion involved as with england.

Everytime a world cup is soon to happen, your media say things like "We'll surely win", "Once we win this is how we will celebrate".. It's unbelievable how ARROGANT your new channels are.. If you want an example - Sky News. So thats why everyone laughs at you.. Other countries dont go in saying: 'Yeah we will surely win', like you do. Therefore we have no reason to laugh at them, but just at you.
