  • seeing jerry with his ric before he carved it up.

  • damn, great voice

  • Fine Song ¡¡¡¡¡

  • what an amazing Danzig vocals here.

  • Q buen video... estan muy buenas las fotos.

  • I fall asleep everyday hoping The Misfits will come back together.

    Glenn Danzig

    Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstien

    Jerry Only

    Mr.Jim

I hope for that every night I sleep.

  • @utahpierce fuck yeah dude.

  • @utahpierce doyle wasnt in the original lineup if thats what you were shooting for.

  • Was there a more photogenic band...?

  • Been listening to this guys since fuckin 85-thought I heard it ALL...how did I miss this one? Cause its so fuckin BAD-ASS!!!!

  • Wtf at 0:54 Doyle sings in a mic?

  • Damn some classic fucking pics right here

  • @Rick. of course I like the music. But i do not support ignorance and I would stop listening. Im Latino so that shit don't work for me. But thats not the case, so I'll keep listening and loving their music

  • @Alleycatlovespussy I can understand why you would think that. But i would guess that like lots of other artists since the second world war, he was trying to reclaim the swastika for it's original meaning.

  • Light In the doorway Shining so bright In the doorway I clench your hips For the flesh You tore my prose In the doorway Animal lie Like the doorway As you hide Hear it then Will you let me in Let me in Oh In the doorway We were so young In the doorway Release the black dogs On our breasts We'll never rest We'll never rest We'll never forget I ain't never gonna let you rest Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
  • How the hell did this song take 30 years to be released?

  • @MrJasonz28 If the misfits supported and promoted facism and ignorance, I would no longer be intrested in them. Also, I thought that the symbol that dates back to neolithic times was the swastika but backwards. No?

  • @MrJasonz28 If the misfits supported and promoted facism and ignorance, I would no longer be intrested in them

  • @Alleycatlovespussy

...because the music and lyrics would no longer be awesome? Then why do you like them now?

  • could someone post the words to this song. Thanks

  • @bleaupearls Light In the doorway Shining so bright In the doorway I clench your hips For the flesh You tore my prose In the doorway Animal lie Like the doorway As you hide Hear it then Will you let me in Let me in Oh In the doorway We were so young In the doorway Release the black dogs On our breasts We'll never rest We'll never rest We'll never forget I ain't never gonna let you rest Oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
  • It's a good song. I still think that She 1977 is still the best though. But what is up with the drummer wearing the swastika? They ain't racist at all right?

  • @Alleycatlovespussy and if they were?

  • Wtf at 0:58 Doyle's saying something?

  • I can't believe this is basically the last original Misfits song to be released, 14 years after they broke up and 19 years after it was recorded. Easily Glenn's best vocal performance in his entire career, and by far my favorite Misfits song.

  • Really underrated song, the melody and Glenn's vocal are just amazing.

    LONG LIVE MISFITS AND RAMONES!

  • STOP WITH THE OH IT IS The Buddhist Symbol of Death and Madame Blavatsky used it in one of her mystic symbols, and is found in Native American cultures, blah blah. SID VICIOUS! That is all it is. Sid wore an originated and identical shirt. And the Misfits were over in Britain hanging out with him in 78. Just a old punk rock, let's scare and offend the mainstream. When PUNK ROCK was NASTY! And you caught a lot of crap for looking that way....

  • what happened in the door way...?

  • Does anyone know wich bass Jerry is using at 0:35 ?

  • @xwoodly that is a black Rickenbacker w/ white pinstripe.

  • 0:57 doyle had a mic?

  • @mygrave24

    I know... weird.

  • @mygrave24 he was probably doing background vocals

  • pure fucking genious!!!!!

  • he dosnt sound at all like the doors but he says he listent to them and he was one of the influences to make music the swastica also when its not tilted like the nazi symbol is an old buddist sighn before hitlor raped it to make it what it is today symbols have power but who knows if it can go back to the buddist sighn perhaps if people are informed them i think so

  • was that Rollins in one of those shots?

  • @tuskeny21 is that hard to see by yourself?Even if you're not shure, you know henry was singing for black flag, right?and there is your answer black flag and misfits were bands with simmilar audience in the same time,hence....THINK than write

  • @tuskeny21 Indeed it is.

  • damn these are some rare misfits pics. Pre doyle pics are hard to find.

  • I love this song.

  • any one care to send me links to the more obscure misfit songs nothing new just songs that never really got heard or over shadowed on there albums?

  • @spikeyheaddrunkpunk buy C/C-she original recordings with piano and w/o guitar and static age (this one, theme for a jackal, return of fly, spinal remains, static age...)

  • fucking amazing set of pictures. wish i couldve been alive for that era. thanks for posting!

  • 0:38 I like the drummers shirt haha and whose exer under my comment fuck off stop critisizing music that ppl like sorry we don't like the nigger rap music u listen to

  • I hate those fuckers that need to see a symbol to start controversial about politic, ideologies and such. Punk used to be provocative just because fuckers like you. To see the real nazis just keep an eye on yerself and your own life, the worst nazis are those who don't wear swasitkas. Misfits are a lenged in music, that's all you need to know. Pls stop to be so shallow. (I apologize for my english wich is not my 1st language).

  • fucking... the best shit in the whole world in my eyes

  • Great pics and song

  • THESE are the misfits that I got tattooed on my back for! FUCK yes!

The Misfits are in my heart forever! <3

  • I love this song.

  • GREAT BAND GREAT SONG!!!

  • Why the didn't they include this song in the Misfits box set, it's the only one they left out. Yet they have multiple recordings for most of the other songs. Don't get me wrong I love the box set!

  • @alexwangful i think i'ts cuz jerry was the one who make's de box set colletion, and aparenttly i think that danzig was the only one who got that recording, and later he relesed that song in the static age album...

  • @alexwangful well maybe danzig didnt liked it enough.he released it

  • @alexwangful It's only on the LP Record, NOT on CD.

  • 0:06 LOL

  • Nice pics, man. Where did you got those?

  • Comment removed

  • that voice man,LISTEN TO IT!!!! -IN-FUCKING-CREDIBLE! the best.

  • another band that reached their peak years after it was said and done

  • 0:9 Sexyy xD

  • I really wonder why this and a lot of other great songs weren't released until after they broke up.

  • 0:09 Doyle "kind of" reminds me of Sid Vicious

  • @PunkomediaCp I can see where you get that.

  • @PunkomediaCp wow you're right!

  • wow, where the fuck did you people obtain such rare photos!! like the first one.WOW theyre awesome

  • lol, at least the devilock kinda hides te rapidly receding hairline...lol it looks shit when the hair coms from the back of the head tho, hahah.

and LOL at 0;34, wtf is with the swastika shirt?

  • actually, this song is about being a real estate broker in south hampshire new south wales

  • I also think the song is about sex, or at least a really young couole getting into it.. because he was pretty young around that time.

  • They looked so chummy and so happy.. Jerry has aged some.. lmfao.. every time I see him his devilock gets shorter. Pretty soon he's gonna look like alfalfa :p

  • nice vintage photos, this is what i like to watch. fuckign 5/5 and fav'd.

  • Glenn Prime Voice...

  • jerry only's been balding since forever. hah.

  • Thta's some badass devilocks there.

  • yes its doyle. in the background danzig with rollins.

  • at 0:53 is it doyle the one thats sitting and with his fist in the air?

  • glenn sounds so classic in the misfits era

  • Where did you get this great pics?

  • Wherd you find all the old pix

  • i wonder were they got swastika shirts back n the day cause now you got to make em or bye on the internet

  • I Believe this to be his best vocal work in

the misfits ...this song ...wow is perfect!!!!!!!

  • yes perfect vocals!! briliant song, i love this song soo much!

  • @danzigisjebus i totally agree with you; when i first heard this song i was amazed that i never heard it before (it was in my ipod for christ's sake) it really shouldn't have been last in the static age album it's too good for that; i guess they were saving the best for last.

  • anybody know the b horror movie this is about?

  • every misfits song isnt about b horror films! for example BULLET its about JFKs murder and Cough/cool

  • one of the misfits greatest songs

captures Danzigs true dark, deep, melodic singing style

  • well said tarman ... btw ..anyone know for SURE what glenn is saying in the second verse after "in the doorway we were so young." does he say, in the doorway... "we used the back doors OR release the black dogs?" and then does he say "on her breasts" OR "our memories" before he says "will never rest." kind of confusing when typing it sorry - i've seen both sets of lyrics in publications.. listen to it again and i swear you can make your mind hear either verse

  • TOP PICTURES..................

  • hahaha.. a swastika shirt 0:37

  • You have added awasome pics for this nice song! thank you mate! :)

  • Fucking great song!

  • wow, where do you people get some of these photos from? lol that video was awesome! yeah that song was written in 1978.sadly,in 1977 there were 2 other misfits songs .i think the titles were like "west end avenue" and "harpies in the night" but they never recorded 'em,thats depressing lol

  • yes those two songs were never recorded in studio. but where played live in the first few shows, also another unrecorded song was one called "feline nursery" but due to another band having a same song name, glenn rework the song, with some new lyrics and kept the music tracking and "spinal remains " was used

  • The best vocalist that ever lived..

  • totally agree

  • @dyrdek09 I'm going to have to agree with you. Nat King Cole is also phenomenal.

  • @dyrdek09 Tis so True

  • greta song

  • shit and i thought i heard

all the songs i could by danzig and

the fits...never heard this one before

and i fucking love it! love his voice

    fucking awsome shit

  • where have you been under a rock? lol

its on the static age album if you wanted to get it.

  • great vid. awesome pics!!! static age such an amazing album!!!

  • I had a swaztika on my guitar years ago

  • This is definitely in my top 5 favorite Misfits songs.

  • No, he isn't racist.

  • it´s provocative... nothing else. People like you find it offensive and that's excactly what they want. Lots of punkrockers wore a zvastika during the 70's just to annoy people. And it works even now 30 years on

  • No, it's to offend uninformed and closed minded people who are too lazy to learn that the symbol dates back to neolithic times and was used by many world religions such as Buddhism, and Hinduism. That's one of the things that punk is about, opening up people eyes.

  • @bdmru1980 And pissing people off.

  • @LeLimeLine

    Hell yeah!

  • @bdmru1980 Yes you are right!!

  • @bdmru1980 i never even considered the fact that he might be referring to the symbol from proto-nazi era (i was aware that it was apart of asian cultures) i just assumed he was doing it for shock factor like Sid Vicous was, but now that i think about it..... Sid was an arsehole

  • Comment removed

  • he isn't an idiot, you're a fucking tool

  • @Loorenzen Its opposite from a swastika, It's a sign for peace. Idiot.

  • omg, i luv this song

too bad it wasnt in their boxset

and awesome pics! i luv the black and white =)

    thx fo the post!

  • Hahaha! With Henry Rollins!

  • fuck yeah. there's no substitute for the originators of horror punk. I remember Halloween!

  • !!!!!!!They are Legends and the kings of Horror punk,Long live to the Misfits¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡nothing do songs like that in this days,I still remember halloween

  • did glen have a nose job?

  • i think he had more than 1 nose job

  • He had at least one nose job. After having it, he began to show his nose a lot more!

  • I enjoy this video =) it makes me really horny!! R

  • Wow you have some really amazing pics in there!

    great job, 5 stars!

i love this song so much, and Glenn's voice, i just melt when he sings like that...

  • if ya look at a lot of Danzig's songwriting.. he doesn't always tell a traditional (linear) story (like a lot of country or rap songs).. he writes a song that is just a single thought, or a mood told metaphorically.. it reminds of Jim Morrison's writing .. a phrase or image that conveys a single emotion or mood.. I'd just be guessing at the idea behind 'In the Doorway'.. it seems to me, about a darkness that is waiting to enter in and possess someone's life/actions (and someone close to him)?

  • holyfuckballs ..u might be right!!

  • I think you're completely right!

  • danzig was heavily influenced by Jim Morrison so that definitely makes sense.

  • who cares if the drummer is wearing a shirt with a swastika on it ? .. it's lame that political correctness has even infiltrated the world of rock fans.. sad... this is punk rock

  • punx used to wear shit likethat..

    just 2 piss people off!!

  • Punk was about pissin' the old folks off back then. And what was more nasty than a swastika? Now that same stupid tee shirt will get you on an FBI list. And arrested for commiting a "hate crime".

  • wearing a swastika aint a hate crime, hurting or killing someone because of their race, beliefs, etc. is a hate crime. the justice system is fuckin stupid.....i would wear one too piss people off, but its too dangerous cause everyone seems to be packin a weapon or shit

  • What you're saying is basically right. In Europe, wearing a swastika tee will get you put in jail. People will find out there. And you may end up dead. They want to make it a hate crime here. And it seems that hate crimes. A hate crime as in "thought crime" is treated more harshly than an actual physical crime. Study Stalin's reign. Millions perished at the hands of the communists for imaginary hate crimes. If you were politically incorrect, you disappeared in the gulag system. You died.

  • im always right...;]

  • wtf fuck i have never heard this song before, what cd is it off of?

  • static age

  • static age..!!!

  • Yes, it's from Static Age, the 17th song.

  • yup u dumb scum...!

  • go fuck yourself

  • dont fret nigga.

  • @chunkymonkey121

    Static age

  • in my opinion, along with Chris Cornell, Billy Corgan, manybe Axl Rose and Metallica's songwriting duo (Hetfield & Ulrich).. Glen Danzig is one of the most brilliant songwriters in the last 25 years of rock.. in the top 4 or 5 for me ?

  • i think hes talking through a ghost...or a person whos been killed ....and is now haunting the person who killed him....

  • purgatory!!

  • I think this song is either about murdering a girl in a doorway for ripping up his love poem or that he murdered a girl in a doorway a long time ago and is trying to forget it but can't.

I also have a third idea that him and someone else are in some kind of purgatory after death. Analyze the lyrics and tell me what you think.

  • i think you're a fucking moron, and the 'doorway' is obviously a metaphor.

murdering a girl in a doorway. how the fuck could you honestly be that retarded? you restore my faith in eugenics.

  • Metaphor for what?

  • yeah for what..??

  • Hmm well blenderhead138 I wasn't throwing out the possibility of it simply being a metaphor (hence the reason I said that he was in a purgatory after death). But Danzig's songs don't always have some sort of alter-meaning to it and may be quite straight forward. But I'm thinking danzigisjebus may be right on this one.

  • thats the word purgatory...when i wrote that other comment i couldnt think...THANKS....:D

    !!!

  • .56 seconds... Doyle singing... I had no idea he ever sang backup!

  • where did you get the picture at 00:05 from?

  • Actually, I had so many pic... When I saw one, I saved it. So I don't remember, sorry ^^'

  • tis 'k

  • jejejeje misfits!!! this song is the best!!!

  • only if jerry only and glen stayed friends it would of been awesome

  • i know dumb question but at 27 which one is mr.jim and franch coma btw i love this song and video

  • damn!!!

    i love this fuckin song!!

    FIEND 4 LIFE

  • :38 drummer with swastika shirt

  • Shit, you're right. Thats fucked up. Which drummer is that? There were so many...

  • that was mr jim in 1978 i know it is messed up

  • It's Cool.

  • where do people get all of those pictures XO

sooo hard to find! no fair [like the first one]

  • THE MISFITS FOR EVER!!!!!

  • We'll never rest

    We'll never rest!

    We'll never forget...

I ain't never gonna let you rest

    This song is perfect!

  • love this song

  • nice good song!

  • What is this song about?

  • cold murdering a bitch in her own home for tearing up his poetry and rejecting his advances

  • Is that what you think the song is about? Sounds right actually.

  • thanks - I got the idea from thinking about murdering my ex - he's like "lie animal lie in the doorway" like he's got her on the floor crying in the doorway and then he's like "as you cry, hear it then" (the poem he wrote her that she tore up)

  • Thanks

  • When they were young..
