A tremendous video - thank you for sharing, it really helped clear up the brachial plexus for me and has been superior to anything shown in lecture. You are a exemplary artist and scholar.
HEY SUPERB!!!! I don't know whether u still see the comments posted by people bt i would still say u are very talented and best teacher....I refer ur videos regularly for my studies.....THANX A LOT!!!!
nice video. good drawings and explanations and all... but i think you missed the dorsal scapular nerve, supra scapular nerve, lateral pectoral nerve, upper and lower scapular nerves, thoracodorsal nerve, medial pectoral nerve, and nerve to subclavius. thse are still parts of the brachial plexus. but i liked the video anyways.
Thank you so much for this video. I have just started my medical school two weeks ago and I feel, anatomy, so far is the toughest subject. This helped me a great deal.
The way you made the brachial plexus look easy is *claps*!
hello ... I had accident a year ago,and in that accident I ruptured nerve roots, namely c6, c7, c8 ... interested in me, is there a doctor who can fix? thanks
This is great. I'm first year medical student in Vietnam and we have to study Anatomy. According to our document, which is practically based on Russian and French material, the brachial plexus is formed by the ventral rami of spinal nerves C4-T1. But all the information on the internet and which is written in English that I have found states that it is formed by C5-T1. Maybe our document is little old. I don't know, anyone have any idea.
Brachial plexus indeed arises from C5-T1. But Some times C4 is involved, so at that time its called pre- plexus while when T2 is involved its post plexus.
our professors dint xplain dis coz dey dint have TIME!!!! and dey askd us 2 study on our own !!!! God bless you for uploading all d anatomy videos dat i needed!!!
From the medial cord: medial pectoral nerve, medial cutaneous nerve of arm and forarm; from lateral cord: lateral pectoral nerve; from posterior cord: nerve to latissimus dorsi, upper and lower subscapular nerves (lower one give rise to nerve to teres major).
For the axillary artery: superior thoracic artery, thoracoacromial and lateral thoracic arteries, anterior/posterior humeral circumflex arteries, and subscapular artery. (Subclavian artery: internal thoracic and vertebral arteries).
Just a reminder.. this video was made long ago - now i have a more advanced knowledge of anatomy, and as such, would like to remind you of additional branches that come off of axillary artery and brachial plexus: (see my next comment above)
Excellent work, very informative. I wish my "Brachial Plexus Specialist" would have explained it to me like that 1 1/2 years ago. I guess the "Specialists" think normal citizens are too ignorant to understand what is going on inside their own bodies. Thanks for the information, is has been very, very helpful. Dave.
Studying for my physical therapy boards and this is a big help. The illustrations make it so much easier to understand. I wish I had these during my anatomy and neuroscience classes. Thanks so much!!
gosh, this is the clearest explanation i've ever had on a really dull subject!!! thank you eer so much for your efforts and for sharing this treasure -as others have pointed out- with the rest of the world! you are a very talented teacher, and your drawings are amazingly clear! thanks a lot!

C4 ventral ramus in few times (not common) contributes to the brachaial plexus and in this case it called Prefixed brachial plexus ( C4-C8)
Also some times you see contribution of T2 to the brachial plexus and in this case it called Postfixed brachial plexus. (C6 T2)
