Is there any way to use this for a bow that is wrapped around a present, instead of tying a 'loose' bow as in this video, where the bow is independent, per se?

Great video! I've never seen this tool before. I'm wondering what the other slit is for on each side...maybe for an even smaller bow?

@Myrrhmade The directions that came with mine show that for each side you can use the whole side like in the video or just the two little "teeth" so you make seven different sized bows.
