hehehe great idea putting it on your hand instead of straight in your hair... i did that the first time and it said POOF xD so i suggest you do it on your hands and then rub it in your rots, it's great at making scene hair too =)

@blueterfly88 First by their feedback (not just the rating tho). I look thru all of their feedback regarding the powder and almost all of the cheap ones have negatives of buyers saying it's fake (or smelled different from the authentic ones), that's a red light. One of them is actually powder sugar lol. Also, I take extra caution when the seller is from asia because there are LOTS of fake ones made there (im chinese so i'm not being racist :p), altho the UK seller seems to sell fakes too.

@blueterfly88 Just to add, if you search "fake schwarzkopf" on google, I think the first result that comes up does a pretty good comparison of the fake and real powder~ I think I will just buy from my local hair salon because I don't wanna risk hair loss for a few bucks :p

I LOVE this product! I have very thin hair and it gives me a lot of volume. I do put it directly on my roots, though, and I think that works much better...that is what my stylist did, as well. :)
