  • OMG, when I was six years in the summer of 1955, I went on this kids show in Cleveland called the Uncle Jake Show (something) and sang this song. I was supposed to sing this nice little song about birdies that I had learned in kindergarten but to my family's surprise and horror I sang this one that my aunt had just taught me about cats and dogs being put through a meat grinder. LOL!

    I can't believe how many people have heard of this song! My dad used to sing it to us in the car all the time. I taught it to my daughter when she was young and she sang it at a school talent show in the 1st grade. She's now 24 and we have so much fun watching this video of her. My dad was in the military, stationed back east. I wonder if that could have anything to do with others knowing the song? Being from the east coast and also the military. Anyway, thanks for sharing.
