whoever is demonstrating the gameplay is just goin crazy and killing everyone in the game. Or maybe that's all that was highlighted in the story, but this isn't even the most violent gta of the series. There are'nt any decapitations or swords like the older ones. if anything, the creators have recognized that there is an immorality limit in the public eye when there are realistic graphics, so they can't subject people to photo realistic murder, eventhough it's in the movies all of the time.

1) The point of the game is not to go killing random people. If the media would show people just playing through missions instead of killing everyone there would be less violence.
2) It is rated mature for a reason you stupid parents.
3) The real world is just as violent and sleazy if not more than the game.
4) If people are this angry about GTA why don't they rant about other games like the Bourne games, Halo, Hitman, James Bond or other games with weapons in them?

Only expected, the media hates GTA and gaming in general, don't watch CBS unless you want to see BS. There are many studies showing how in-game violence relates to out of game violence, but that's only because the Media wants it to be bad. Parents, i'm not recommending you buy this game for your child, but consider, are you scared your son or daughter will not see the difference between a game and reality, maybe YOUR the one that has to wake up.

not all of them, CNN has something called "Get your game on" which give video game a positive light, they talk about video game and they have Adam Sessler from G4TV as a guess sometime. if you want good news on video game, CNN is the only good news I watch.

hahahahaha just played it today it wasn't nearly as bad as the other ones not a lot of guns mostly physically fighting, and when the cops stop you now you can just go over easy or you can run actually fighting them is a bad idea

The fact is that Rockstar Entertainment tries to make the games as realistic as possible. Can anyone go out and punch another human being? Of course, but you choose not to. That's what the game is all about, free will. You could play through the game and do a minimal amount of killing, but a bit...just because the story is about a gangster.
