Know pretty well that the english ejected the prosperous and numerous argentine population in the Islands back in 1833. Ther was no UN nor AMNESTY by then. The French were kicked off their Island by the Spanish but the British stayed. UK left behind a plaque asserting claim after leaving to fight. Spain maintained a settlement. After the american thing Mestivier was killed in a mutiny after 4 days after trying to found a new settlement. The British took without force having just stated their claim and an Irish Gov.

I think the Argentines were well equipped, they had good night sights and rifles which our British troops didn't have.They had a mix of troops but some were very good.They had more troops, and they were dug in.They had supersonic land based jets, and plenty of them, and an aircraft carrier carrying fast jets with air launched anti-shipping missiles.They had time to prepare and chose when and where to attack.

Great tribute to Admiral William Brown. I´m a proud descendent of the first spanish and english families founders of the colony, the viceroyalty and the Republic of Argentina. Know pretty well that the english ejected the prosperous and numerous argentine population in the Islands back in 1833. Ther was no UN nor AMNESTY by then. Malvinas Argentinas forever, by right or by force.
