this is the first episode and the acting did go on to improve (kind of) but still the show is very much awful compared to the books. The casting is universally wrong and the tone is too 'silly'. However, I am looking forward to the rumoured Diablo cody movie.

@MLA786zasy actually. sweet valley was a book series (begun in the 80's) before it was a TV show- so it predates BH 90210. and if you know anything you should know that 90210 copied quite a lot (character and plot) from SV high and SV university books.
