  • Look at her face at 3:15! LOL! Now that's the face of a badass :) I loved this game back in the day... such a classic.

  • Hell, this game was the most amazing thing when it first came out! I used to play it for hours! I used to almost piss my pants when that goblin thing came through the window at 1:19 LOL

  • lol, the woman is scarier than the monsters o_o

  • boish'ip'hriph'ip'hrbiph'rbil'brill/ibtklbtrklklbklbtklklklklklbklnbtnklbr

  • wild 949 mancow. wow.

  • two in a room?

  • The Danger song always freaks me out...I remember playing this when I heard the song i'd stop moving and just wait or just panic and run for it :x

...then I learned that you fight the whole time...

  • I lost my copy protection card, could someone give me hints on how to answer the copy protection questions?

  • I remember when the game store in chesterfield, va had this game out for demo. This was in '92 and it was still considered new. I can't believe how slow it looks now. It seemed so state of the art back then.

  • This game was such a technical leap; faux-texture mapping, the first game to use keyframed animation, and it had such state of the art things as gourad shading - I can't remember if that was lightsourced, tho!

Not to mention the fact it was utterly terrifying!

  • @djarcas I remember playing this game as like a 3 year old!! It was the scariest thing ever, but strangely I've been hooked on games since

  • Dead Space: Who are you?

Alone in the Dark: I ... am your great-great-great-great-grandfather.

  • One of the best games ever. Nobody has realeased another REAL horror game, no other game scares as much as this one did back then.

  • Wo! What's with the music? When I had this game back in the 90s it had CD audio quality music. Was this version on disk?

  • Does anyone know where to get the music??? but this one not the remake.

  • Yeah that what i was looking for... :-)

  • You cant moove faster ?

  • her eyes are so pretty...lol

  • Wow, man, good memories! And the music used to make me jump out of my seat every time it played.

  • i'm sad you blocked the window. :( it used to scare the living SHIT out of me when that ratlike monster jumped through. scariest game i've ever played, honestly. miss the days when they made epic games like this!

  • @Eatcheesepls - I know, right? I would always rush to close the trapdoor and the window. XD

  • i downloaded this game from the same link but it says that the game doesn't support fullscreen mode. is there a way to NOT be in fullscreen mode? i have an hp pavilion dv6000.

  • i missed out on this game, i have to play it

  • boah this is the best game ever best grapik

  • Better is music.

  • wow, i was 9 years old when this game was new and boy did it keep me up at night. and there was no music in the game which made it scarier. and that it was stupid that the game came with a tiny little book that you had to have just get into the game

  • Granddaddy of them all, when will stupid atari make a remake instead of spewing garbage

  • ya know, tryin to find a good game these days is like fishing in a river where theres only 1 fish

  • They concerntrate too much on graphics and such now-a-days they forget that a game is suppoed to be fun. Hell, I wouldent care if you had to walk around looking like a lego person, at least its fun.

  • You're so right. I miss this and my old IBM Aptiva :<

  • @vitalijo And Minecraft was born.

  • pretty cool how you can take almost everything in the room! :D

  • I downloaded a version for Dosbos, but the music doesn't work. Is there a way I can fix that?

  • i totally agree

  • agreed

  • i was like 6 when my brother was playing that so i barely remember it so thnx for this

  • Awesome, I loved this game back in the day. It had great gameplay.

Hehe - you've got me thinking about old games now. I also remember 7th Guest. That was cool as well.

  • -berkybean-

    Ah, the 7th Guest...remember The 11th Hour?

I still have all the software...I should try to get it to work on my laptop.

  • i wish you of played with Carnby. The new game looks good but i dont think it can top the origanl trilogy

  • the original survior horor game

  • Man I used to play this game as a kid and it scared the crap out of me. And I agree with you spacehead854 It annoys me so much when people go like cod4 is so awesome because you can't tell it from real life, but that games a piece of shat. That game was one of the coolest games ever and don't badmouth games that you wern't around when it came out. That game was literally like the cod 4 of 1992.

  • Ya i was not even alive then but i understand how this game looked for its time and its great looks like a lot of fun and you cant go wrong with the game the started it all

  • this game is sooooooooooooo slow

  • you can tell from these comments that most people think video games started out looking photo realistic from the very beginning. but people will be shit talking every thing that is coming out now, so it's an endless cycle i guess.

  • And also.. you can tell their age too ;)

I hate people who instantly assume because a game has old graphics then its gonna be shit.

this is one of the best games i've ever played.

  • I need help tryin to find a game thats on PC. Its quite old cus i played it as a kid.

At the start you find the key to the haunted house inside a pumpkin i think. then you go inside and if you go into a certain room there if a dinner party and a vampire kinda gets you.

    Heh.. please help.

  • That's Hugo's House of Horrors.

  • This game scared the heck out of me when I was a little girl. XD

  • i have this game, guit it have no sound!!! can you send me link where to download it wits sound and englis? ty!

  • She looks like a muppet, lol!

  • Oh my god!!! No not again!!!! This game!!! This game was playing my brother when he was 14 and i was so scared of this game but when i wanted to play computer he used this game and I cryed becose I was really scared...Not good memories...Why I HAVE FOUND THIS!?!?!?

  • Think it's good enough.. well ofc not the graphics.. but the spirit in it is nice

  • This look's more funny than scary O_O

  • no alone in the dark.....no survival horror genre!!

    simple as that!!!!

  • graphics dont make a game fun aloneis the dark is a timeless epic this games was awsome

  • You answered your own question...

  • what are those? zombies?

  • They move reeeeeally slow.

  • Can u post the ending with the fight against the tree & when u leave in the taxi, your taxi driver turns out 2 be a skeleton??

  • One of the best and creepiest games ever made.

  • Leee lee La! How beautiful this is a piece of video game history!

  • i was 6 when i played it, but i loved it

  • I remember buying Alone in the Dark 2 mainly because of the music. I will post a video where I play music from that game some time in the near future. Check out my other game music videos too.

  • Geez. with those old graphics and that kind of music... How on earth did anyone back at those days find it scary?

  • haha I found it scary. but then again, I was 6 when I watched this game being played.

  • back at those days this were the best you could get with that times technology. I mean, sure it looks funny now but back then i wasn't laughing at all. All the new horror games can look and sound good but they can't beat the charm this game had/has. Trust me when i say this: This game were scary as hell back then.

  • Haha.... well, these graphics were probably really great and made the game really scary back then. Remember man, this game came out 15 years ago. This was like FEAR or Doom 3 for them.
