  • The bible is Really cryptic and confusing and can be intrepreted to fit ANYONE's motives.

Im not perfect, but I can give much better and less confusing explanations of ALL these bilblical "facts" and then some, than the "god" gave.

The bible says the earth is flat its juz common knowledge; Round objects dont have edges or corners, flat objects do.

  • @mastela88

Wait what? Where does the Bible say "The earth is flat"? Give me the verse please.

  • I see what ure doing, pretending you've never heard the christian bible says the earth is flat acting like its the first time u hear it.

There's Numerous verses that quote events only available if the earth was flat, such as somewhere in Daniel 4:8-13 aprox~

where it says a tree reaches the heavens and it was visible to EVERYONE all the way to the furthest reaches of the earth.

a FLAT earth wud make that statement viable, while a round earth wud collapse it.

    Theres's tons of these quotes.

  • Everything grows you know. Since there is no limit to size, I am 99.9% positive that some materials in space grew and then forged together to create things such as planets. Since billions of years have gone by, you'd think that would be enough time to have all this stuff grow.

  • Has anybody ever thought that everything in space and time, simply just grew?

  • I feel silly for posting a comment about how obviously fake and unreal god is, but here I go. There is no proof of "god", nobody has seen "god", nobody knows how intelligent "god" is, EVERYTHING about "god" is just made up. The Bible is purely just a made up story that is full of SO MUCH shit that it makes all you religious people out there believe in this "god" you speak of. You believe in god if you want, but imjust pointing out the more solid facts.

  • ROFL you forgot to mention the part in Genesis where God makes the firmament. Firmament means ceiling, and your much vaunted scripture seemed to think that the Earth has a ceiling and the stars are stuck into the ceiling as if they were impressions in plaster. The Book of Enoch has even more ridiculous claims to make about teams of angels opening the windows to let the winds in for the whole planet. So I can go to page 1 of the Bible and find enormous errors.

  • Go to page 1 of the Bible and list these errors. PM please.

  • Lets start with where God comes from... Never stated. The issue of the ontology of God is not addressed. Some have said that God doesn't have a beginning, but that is not held up by scripture, it just isn't mentioned at all. On the origins of God the Bible is conspicuously silent. It is like God itself does not know.

  • "but that is not held up by scripture."

    "In the beginning was God...."

Strawman--Genesis 1:1? If you would have ever opened the Bible you should know that

  • In my King James, Genesis 1:1 it begins

"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."

So no straw man. Translations vary, but ultimately there is no explanation, and as Christians like to say that everything has to have an origin, the same must be true of God.

  • The very first verse in the Bible declares: In the beginning God ... . There is no attempt in these words to prove the existence of God or imply in any way that God had a beginning. In fact, the Bible makes it clear in many places that God is outside time. He is eternal, with no beginning or end. He also knows all things, being infinitely intelligent

  • I am inclined to think that the authors of the Bible merely lacked the imagination to write their god a decent origin that didn't belittle him. Also, if God is outside time, then he is also outside of space and cannot affect the universe in any way as time and space are actually the same thing. That would be the same as admitting that God doesn't exist.

  • evolution is a theory, yes, but it is based on facts. however, i would not say evolution is a fact. afterall, darwin did show doubts towards certain areas of his own theory. with that being said, i personally don't believe evolution is fact but i believe in the idea of evolution in a sense that we as human beings evolve in our own lives.

and bickering, arguing, giving an answer, whatever you want to call it; the point is that it's all seemingly a matter of "who's right and who's wrong".

  • here's MY input: first off, this whole youtube argument between christians and atheists is dumb. i believe in the bible but clearly differently than this video. i believe in old earth creationism meaning the earth is billions of years old because you MUST look at the original translations of genesis aka hebrew. it tells a very different story. but more importantly, do you really think God would want a bunch of people to bicker on youtube? lol

  • Not exactly bickering, but giving an answer:

1 Peter 3:15 (New International Version)

"15But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,"

  • You spelled "intelligently" wrong.

  • I noticed that a long time ago but I couldn't change it.

  • Wow...this is NOT a good video to watch in a darkened room while sleep deprived. Very creepy music...

  • Lol

  • huh?

  • The talking snake? There was never a talking snake in the Bible--That's a myth. It was satan talking through the snake--is it that hard to understand? Oh, and there's lots of evidence that supports a 6,000 year old earth. Shall I elaborate?

  • The 1st law of thermo does NOT state (listen carefully) does NOT state that matter could never be created or destroyed. How much science have you taken? It's not that hard -

    Thermo - heat or energy

    dynamic - movement, changing, flowing

Where in here does it state a THING about matter? 1st law of thermo is NOT the law of conservation of mass. Get it right please-espeically if you are doing a vid on the scientific validity of the bible! You're wrong about the 2nd law and what it states.

  • 1) earth levitates over nothing, how could jacob know this? - how about simple astrology? the Egyptians managed to figure it out without the biblical god.

    2) Herodotus (around 500 bc), taught people that the earth was round by observing the sun, im sure that people from 300ad must have figured that out as well (a lot of people probably argued against it, but nonetheless)

    3) the thing about the wind patterns was completely off, im not even gonna bother refuting it.

  • 4) i looked up job 27-28, and it was just God telling Job about how awesome he is in comparison to humans. (i need a direct source)

    5) it never said "running water", it only said fresh water, besides, diseases are the causes of demons, remember? (matthew 10:1)

    6) we cannot grasp the concept of infinity, how would yow know that matter wasnt always there?... this isnt supposed to refute anything, its just a thought.

... i dont want to go any further.

  • The text was not intended to trivialize the accomplishments of the Greek philosophers. Were such discoveries made "pure research" without any "divine revelation" No. They were successful because they were relying upon a biblical worldview (without realizing it) Science requires uniformity in nature;but uniformity requires a biblical worldview. They used logical reasoning, but laws only make sense in a biblical worldview. They discovered some amazing things; but only because the Bible is true.

  • actually, i never mentioned a Greek Philosopher... besides, the bible wasnt even written until 300ad, so a lot of the things i have said are still accurate, or at least in that they couldnt have been based on biblical references.

besides, the bible cant be true; im sure that even Christians dont believe in talking plants and donkeys and what not. (no, but seriously, a talking bush. i mean wtf?)

  • Actually, for science to be non-arbitrary the Bible MUST be true. If evolution was true and the Bible was not, you would not know ANYTHING AT ALL. Yes, I know its absurd--shall I elaborate?

  • well, im rewriting this comment cause the first one didnt seem to post, so i apologise if there are two comments that are the same:

feel free to alaborate, because im not sure if i understood the second sentence.

but i disagree with the first sentence. it is the bible that has to be an arbitary belief in order for science to be true. especially if you talk about something like evolution

  • (sorry to all the people watching this debate)

I don't have enough space to elaborate over here, so I hope it's okay if we start to PM. I will show you how you can know nothing if evolution was really true.

  • evolution is a theroy

theroy has been proven wrong before

  • a theory is a scientifically accepted explanation to an existing fact. so even if you do disprove a theory, the fact that it was supporting still remains the same. only the explanation as to why that fact occurs will change.

so by calling evolution a theory, you are also saying that its true :)

  • A theory is considered to be LIKELY, but not always true.

And no, by saying that evolution is a theory, that person is saying that scientists consider it to be likely. Even though I don't see how.

  • Scientists say that species change over time (which is considered a fact, regardless of your beliefs)

Evolution simply describes how and why they change, and therefore a theory (note. that it is explaining a FACT). So even if the explanation was false, it still doesnt mean that species cant shape form.

if you want me to explain evolution, then just continue our previous conversation (by sending messages through the inbox.)

  • That is natural selection--all animals change. But they will never change from one kind to a totally different kind. Information has never been seen to be added to the human genome, so it never really increases the information; it just copies the same informatiom, which really isn't an increase. Richard Dawkins actually could answer the question "Has new information ever been observed being added to the human genome?".

  • evolution simply means that there is a change in the genetic material. so even if their change was small and insignificant, or that the specie didnt become a new specie all together; its still evolution.

besides, even small changes could add up over a large period of time making them significantly different.

btw, genomes can increase in "information", one example being gene duplication... i would like to talk more about this, but im running out of space.

  • I'll send you a message.

  • could *not* answer the question

  • There are no talking plants, donkeys, and bushes in the Bible. It is God talking through the bush--is it that hard to understand?

  • no, but its funny how the people actually talked back to the plants and animals without even the slightest bit of surprise, i just find that hard to believe.

  • Of course they were surprised--but the Bible isn't going to say "and they screamed in horror".

Balaam is totally, spiritually out of it. He has no thought for God or for spiritual things. But just because the Bible didn't describe the person showing their fear or surprise doesn't make it any unreliable.

  • lol, whatever. i was kind of hoping that we wouldnt go into biblical references, but are you sure that it was god talking to through the donkey? it seemed like the donkey was talking through its on perspective.

whatever though. btw, can you tell me wheather or not my message was sent? im really not sure.

  • Animals are living beings and so are plants proved by science basic high school biology.

It is possible for an entity to enter a living thing to talk to human beings.

  • this is embarrassing....

  • I replied to her. (or him...)

  • What I mean is the understanding of science and the 'interpretations' of the bible are embarrassing.

And I don't believe for a second that fully grown, educated adults truely believe this. I think people agreeing with the content of this vid are being disingenuous for their own ends. It unsettles me

  • Is this supposed to be the killer video from the Ring or couldn't you just pick a slightly less annoying way to present your case? Honestly, I just can't watch this thing.

  • makes me even more excited to go become an evangialist

  • HOLY CROW!! my faith just exploded through the roof!! and i thought i was steadfast and knew a bit about the bible!!WOW when you go through the scientfic facts it makes it that much better

  • haha, thanks man. If u ever have any questions hit me up.

  • I have 1 question -

So you are telling me (and everyone else) that absolutely everything (and I mean everthing - every word, every sentence, every phrase) in the Bible corresponds directly with science in every way and there is not 1 passage anywhere in the Bible that science doesn't disagree with? If I find 1 thing that is untrue in the Bible, that would debunk your whole belief that the Bible is 100% scientificly accurate. Is that what you're saying?

  • The Bible isn't a science book.

  • So when you say, "Many anti-Christian people disregard the Bible as unscientific and against the laws of physics. I hope this video shows how very wrong their opinions are," what exactly do you mean? I interpret that as "The Bible is a very accurate science book which is 100% correct and in accord to the Bible." Did I misunderstand? Don't get me wrong, I agree it's very unscientific, but I thought that was the point of your vid. Can you elaborate?

  • It's a history book that has a *few* things on science. For example, they say Christians are flat-earthers, and believe the earth was covered by water hanging in the sky, etc.

  • I can't seem to reply to this post. Not sure if it is my wording or what. I'll try again.

  • Do you mean the few things in there on science are accurate or there may be some inaccuracies on science since it's a history book? I'm a little confused.

  • The Bible agrees with modern science (observational science, that is)

  • Understandable. No quantum mechanics in the Bible. How about whales being fishes? Or bats being birds? Or the Sun stopping in the sky? Or that pi = 3.0? Or the moon being a light in the sky (as in it gives off light)? Or the 5 elements of witchcraft? Are these scientifically accurate as well?

  • Those are myths. I don't have any time to debunk them, send me the message tomorrow and I'll reply (otherwise I will most probably forget).

  • Myths? In what way are they myths? Are you seriously suggesting that Jonah 1:17 and Mathew 12:40, as an example, are myths in the Bible?

  • Oh, I forgot about you. I'll send you the message now showing how they are myths.

  • Still waiting...

  • I sent a reply to your PM, did you get it? I might have accidently sent it twice but sometimes I go to post my reply and/or comment and YT likes to make me do it again. If so, I await your rebuttle to my response.

  • Man, I can't spell today either. lol.

  • Yea I just replied...that happens to me too sometimes.

  • Ok first of all you're way to smart. Second, that was a really cool video and it was interesting..good job :) lol

  • im sorry i said that its not retarded i just dont understand so i guess im the retardd one now. thank you about being mature about this

  • thx and um its np man. anyway im gonna go to bed now cya.

  • it has been a pleasure debating with you

  • listen i have no idea what you are talking about and im not all that sure what this vid is about. im sure you spent a lot of time into this. is it 4 in the morning in ur time zone?

  • yea its 4:17 now. i put a few hours..actually like 5 or something like that. OH, ok. so....did you want to refute this video or.......not. i cant tell. you just called it retarded and i assumed you wanted to debate

  • im sure its spectacular but 4:13 in the morning and i dont feel like wasting my time watching christian freak vids.

  • lol ok.

  • this is retarded.

  • refute it for me. than you will have the right to call it what ever you'd like.

  • just make sure you watch the whole video, which i'm sure you didn't.

  • If only one out of four fundamental forces (electromagnetic, gravitational, strong nuclear, and weak nuclear) had the slightest varation, or a varation in light speed, life on earth would be impossible. yet you laugh at those who believe effects have causes, that design points to a designer, or that order and beauty do not evolve from chaos. tell me, who sounds retarded there?

  • Completely not true. There is no evidence that if one of any of the forces was slightly different, then life would be impossible on Earth. How can you state that so definitively? Im not saying life would be exactly the same, since some life might be changed a little, but it would be possible and likely unless the forces are significantly different. Simply put, I dont believe you. Prove it. 1 peer reviewed paper on the subject would be adequate to satisfy my needs.
