@Crustydraw No country can just cut out of a war on "Day 1". Plus, Obama learned a lot more info about the war as Commander in Chief than he would as a senator. It would have been unwise to just leave on Day 1. I think what he did worked out fine. We went into conflicts around the world that did not cost any American lives. The only casualties that are really on Obama are the deaths of Seal Team 6 in that helicopter that got shot down, but they also killed Osama Bin Laden.

In retrospect, I sense that he probably committed a mistake by attempting to "surge" there and that he instead should have gone with Biden's idea of a "light footprint," but Obama was actually fulfilling a campaign promise by pouring more resources into that war.

@Crustydraw As for Iraq, someone else correctly noted that no war can be ended on "Day One" and Obama never made any such promise. In the summer of 2008, Bush agreed to a timeline with the Iraqis and further expediting the process would have been politically and logistically difficult, perhaps implausible. The danger would have been to delay and stray from the timeline, as many Republicans wanted, but at least Obama failed to fall into that trap.

They didn't pay for the public park. I recommend you actually look at the percentages of taxes paid by various groups in the US. The "rich" pay nearly all the taxes. The "poor" pay effectively none. People who know nothing about economics or finance just look at the most basic bracket table and think it tells the whole picture, but post-bracket dollars are penalized on a per-dollar basis and the quote "poor" endquote receive endless loopholes.

If you've been paying attention to trends in the world, American cars have been selling less IN AMERICA and doing poorly in foreign markets. The entire system of globalism just didn't work out for GM. This is GM's fault for making over-price cars that suck compared to basic cars offered for cheaper prices by companies like Toyota and Honda. They just can't compete. Not even in AMERICA.

@Crustydraw No country can just cut out of a war on "Day 1". Plus, Obama learned a lot more info about the war as Commander in Chief than he would as a senator. It would have been unwise to just leave on Day 1. I think what he did worked out fine. We went into conflicts around the world that did not cost any American lives. The only casualties that are really on Obama are the deaths of Seal Team 6 in that helicopter that got shot down, but they also killed Osama Bin Laden.

In retrospect, I sense that he probably committed a mistake by attempting to "surge" there and that he instead should have gone with Biden's idea of a "light footprint," but Obama was actually fulfilling a campaign promise by pouring more resources into that war.

In the summer of 2008, Bush agreed to a timeline with the Iraqis and further expediting the process would have been politically and logistically difficult, perhaps implausible. The danger would have been to delay and stray from the timeline, as many Republicans wanted, but at least Obama failed to fall into that trap.

You should read up on current events a little more. For example, Southwest airlines has been fined millions of dollars over the years due to bad maintenance and so the company had to improve their fleet. Had the government not intervened, nothing would have been done. Another example, Alaska Airlines 261 crashed in California due to lack of proper maintenance. Had the government not intervened, aircraft would still be flying with problems. I can go on and on.

The company is free to do what it wants, so long as it doesnt violate others' inalienable rights. Forcing a doctor to provide care for patients for free (or under a government paycheck) is in clear violation of his/her inalienable rights. The government cannot force a doctor to provide healthcare for free but it can provide the option for doctors that wish to do so.
