thx klingonlady77 :D i had a hamster allergy once but it went away 4 some reason...but the breast pump would work for me :D thx 4 the advice for the future :D
my mother formula fed me, my older sister and my younger brother. though she only had six weeks off of work, she could have breastfed us six weeks than not at all!!!!! btw, im anxious to one day breastfeed my own child :) im only 13 but i just wanna have a baby and see how breastfeeding feels...it sounds so peaceful.
@guitarherochampion92 Breastfeeding is amazing and peaceful. It can be kind of tricky at the start but if you have the right support system it can be quite easy. One day when you are old enough to have children you can do it :D Even if you are a working mother. You can use a breast pump and have your caregiver give the baby that milk during your work hours then feed your baby at the breast yourself when you are home. I did that with my oldest child and it worked well. :D
@guitarherochampion92 Don't let this scare you but breastfeeding is HARD WORK. for some it can be REALLY hard in the beginning. i don't even think tricky describes the emotional ups and downs of learning to breastfeed. You can feel like a complete failure even though you tried your very very very best. I wish someone would have told me that even though it may be very hard to do at first it would be worth it. once everything gets going it can be wonderful. but dont expect it to be easy.
@guitarherochampion92 also it can be many weeks before you love it. I spent 18 weeks doing because it was cheaper then formula, because it was good for my baby. after that i did it cause i loved it. It really taught me that sometimes if you just get in and do that hard work it will pay off in the end. I exclusively breastfeed my child for 6 months and he did excellent. Couldn't have been more proud to see him on the 75% for his weight and be able to say its was all because of me!!!!
This is so beautiful....any way I can get a copy to play at the beginning of my breastfeeding class? And during our World BreastFeeding Luncheon in August? I am an Internationally Board Certified lactation consultant. A Registered Nurse, nursed my children, and my daughter is nursing her 19 mo old (very rarely these day) while 19 weeks pregnant with baby #2. Love what you did to the 101 reasons to breastfed!
I loved the images and the song. :) I did find, however, that many of the reasons were not written on the screen long enough for me to read them. Maybe I'm just a slow reader. :P
One thing to note- in #8, you use the word "then" when it should have been "than"- you might want to correct that, especially if you are, in fact, making copies for people to show to classes, etc.!
Great video! I'm a dietitian working for WIC, and I would love to show this at the beginign of the breastfeeding class I teach. Is there a way I could get a copy on either VHS or DVD?
I love videos like this one although I think that the 101st reason should include the pleasure they give to partners as well thereby helping to illiminate any underlying jealousy issues that are a part of the male chauvinistic barriers to breastfeeding.
As I future nurse I would love to see all mothers who can breastfeed with confidense,It is especially inportant for me to see younger mothers.People need to understand it is so much more that just food, it is love, I thinks this is one proof of God's love for us. It is a gift for mom and baby.
i am highly upset at the hospital staff when i gave birth to my son..they gave him a bottle of formula when i specifically stated that i wanted him to take the breast, this video is great, and you puttin the message out there is also great..i tried for days to get him to latch on, but i couldnt starve him, i pumped a bit, but he never latched on, one of my biggest regrets :(..what should i do..theres another blessing on the way!
Well be insistent with the nursing staff that under NO circumstances to give your baby a bottle! Unless there is serious problems this should be easily honored as most hospitals should be fine with this. Don't think that your baby is starving either. If you absolutely can't get him/her to latch then talk to the hospitals lactation consultant! Also what I would advise is contacting and attending a local Le Leche League meeting! That is what they are there for!! I will message you the link for LLL
Wow. Very cool. I knew most of those but not all. I don't know what's more amazing; the fact that you found all of that artwork or the fact that you took the time to put it all together! Keep it up :)
Fortunately I am strongly devoted to breastfeeding and educating people about the subject so it really wasn't any hardship! and I saw lots of sweet and beautiful artwork while looking for the ones I used! So that made it worth it! I think breastfeeding is a beautiful thing!
I have replied and replied to this comment and I don't know why YT won't keep them!!!!! Thanks for the comment my frined I am glad that you learned some things!
I love those sweet breastfeeding videos of yours and I think it's definitely good to nurse a child. But I can say much about it, being just 15 I haven't thought often about that topic yet ^^
I just know that my mother had to breastfeed my brother and me 'cause we used to react allergic to formula
Thanks for the comment KLeena! I hope that you have learned how important and what a beautiful thing breastfeeding your babies can be!! It is a great way to start life with your sweet babes, When you are old enough to have them of course!! ;);) Thanks!
Aww, Jamie. That was truly beautiful!! You know that I share your view 100%. And it's really important and wonderful that you raise this issue!! Beautifully done, I love the 101st reason the most. And I did not even know half of the other reason, so it's great to know now!!! Great work ... and *damn tube* but we all know that your vid is without mistakes. Tube just keeps on being stupid *grumbles*
Thanks so much Sneaky lady!! LOL!! We can fool the tube yet!! HA HA!! I am glad that you enjoyed the video and that you were able to learn something from it!!! 101st reason IS the best reason!!!! That IS what they are there for!!!!

As a lactation educator, this video will be shown to my clients and on my facebook page! Thank you for creating it!!

ArceusLord787 1 year ago
@ArceusLord787 -- Thank you. I have 3 kids I breastfed. The song is You'll be in my heart sung by Phil Collins. It was from the Disney movie Tarzan.

@KlingonLady77 i cannot resist this movie i watch it like, 12 times a day its SO awesome. u really worked hard.
one thing to note, in #8, u used "then" when it should be "than". u may want to correct that before u make copies for classes.
i know now i should breastfeed my kids if i have any.
no matter how many i may have. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I'm a newbie to YouTube. I'm not sure this is the way to get a private message to you - hope so.
I'd love to show this to parents taking a bfing class and to healthcare folks(MDs, PAs, RNs etc) when I teach them about bfing.
A DVD would work best.
