From what i've seen on YT voice acting in other versions than in original (Polish) are all crappy, and not just sounds, it's the lack of... swearing. It's used a lot and in hilarious ways, wchich gives climate similiar to books (yup, I've read entire witcher saga long ago). For example skurwysyństwo, there is no way to translate it to english, but something alike would be son-of-a-bitchment if such a word existed ;) Check out polish movie if you want to hear the way game was meant to sound.

The Witcher 2 delivers and it's not some watered down console game with 2006 graphics. Skyrim turned out to have weak gameplay and quests.

i prefer witcher 2, but that said, skyrim is still a very good game. the one thing i find lacking with tw2 is the controls, it feels like they made the game for consoles and the PC adaptation is still using console controls. most noticeably is the auto aim which makes your character attack randomly.

I was considering getting this game for christmas, would everyone recommend it? My current favourite game is Skyrim, and I do love RPG's in general. Dragon Age: Origins was brilliant, as were Fable 1 and 2 (although the sequels of both lacked a little bit, still enjoyable though) and Oblivion and Fallout are amazing. I naturally assumed I would love this game as well, although some feedback from people who have played it would be nice =)

Witcher 2 >> Skyrim. Skyrim promess to last forever but I ruled most quests in two weeks. Plus in skyrim there is only one fininshing blow animation, while witcher has at least 4.

@meh3re there are about 20 finishing blow animations in skyrim, each weapon has two variants for frontal attack as well as variants for sneaking frontal and back, dual wielding finishing blows also differ. and unique finishing blows for each weapon against dragons.

Combat in Witcher 2 requires focus and skill, as well as using everything to one's advantage. I have both games and Witcher 2 combat far outdoes the glitched collision detection crap of Skyrim.

@JustBetter10 In terms of story, visuals, animations, voice acting, character development, art direction, and overall immersion into a believable world, I'd say Witcher 2 far surpasses Skyrim. However, some may prefer the open ended and massive world in Skyrim. It's gameplay preference. I'm sure a lot of people like them equally for different reasons. It can be tricky to compare the two. This is also a game made and developed for PC. Skyrim is more of a console game in my opinion.
