is it a good camera?! i need someone to reccomend one to me as im going to alot of concerts and need to have a gooood zoom! so does it zoom alot and does it have a good memory so u can out alot on there? thanks! :D
I hope that you've had better luck with your HC52 than the luck I had. I bought it around May 20th, 2008 and by July 9th the HC52 developed a loud whine, which I recorded in one of my videos. By July 10th, 2008 I could no longer do anything with the HC52, the DV tape is stuck inside of the camcorder, sometimes when I turn the camcorder on, it says to replace (reconnect) the power cord, and I can't do any recording with it, plus a part fell out of it, and I didn't have the money to send it in.
Yes, the only thing was that I had seen craters on the Moon and everything else, but didn't catch that because I needed to put a DV tape in it, then the craters could no longer be seen and the tree got in the way, plus that was before I enabled the Digital Zoom in the menu, so all I was getting was the 40 Times optical zoom. Did you know that, that in order to use the digital zoom, that you need to enable it in the menu?
Dude, if you have problems with your camera because you can't access the menu and enable digital zoom, thats pretty sad. With almost all cameras you have to enable zoom and other effects. It takes about a minute of your time, this is just sad.

If You Need Camcorder for Concerts buy Panasonic SDR-H90 with 70x Optical Zoom ;]
