Umm. Eddie was only upper midcard in ECW (though he should have headlined with Malenko) Sandman, Taz, Douglas, Sabu, Cactus were the headliners and main eventers. Considering his size he accomplished quite a bit during his WCW run. Even this match was upper mid card.
Funny about ECW this was a Campaign to save ECW when it was Eastern Championship Wrestling, a bunch of wrestlers in thier prime came in and saved the company, you should all thank Terry Funk with the risks he put in to save the company until it fell into bankruptcy
from this eddie went to wcw to be relagated to mid card at best gee wonder why wcw failed they had all the talent just let ego maniacs have to much input and spotlight they could have ran with guy's like eddie malenko and benoit way sooner and got rid of the old timers and still been in business today wcw were IDIOTS! how can you watch that and hear the fans chanting eddie eddie and not recognize the talent and star power there they should have rode eddie to the top
Scott Steiner, Eddy and Dean were at their peak at this moment in time in my opinion, sure others may disagree. Furthermore, that Philly crowd always made the matches that little bit better, but with this generation of talent that was around at the time it was a great match, and a great time to be a fan. Eat that 14 year old Cena haters!!
The heat between ECW & WCW was in large extent something the fans really believed in but Heyman & Bischoff did have that working relationship. You see both the Steiners & Cactus here. All exchanges from the WCW roster. I'm excited now to once again see Bischoff working with NJPW in TNA. Not that TNA had not already forged that friendship but still :)
Except that's not true at all. Cactus had left WcW under bad terms, and the Steiners hadnt been in WcW since 1992, and wouldnt return to WcW until 1996.
@BruiserDrop I'm pretty sure the only times Bischoff and Heyman worked together was for Cactus Jack's ECW debut vs Sabu, and the Brian Pillman invasion.
@johnnycitystar Which is ironic seeing as though when Paul E became Vince's corporate puppet, he blamed Bischoff for ECWs demise moreso than Vince. When in truth Eric worked trade deals with ECW, New Japan, and AAA.
