anyone in the world can 3 step its just a matter of being comfortable with it or not. (don't quote me on that obviously midgets and fat people are an exception lmaoo)
@mixmastergee68 umm...he takes 3 steps..the very same number by EVERY athlete in the event. 2 is impossible and means that alternate lead legs are required- which isnt a good thing as technique suffers. that being said, it seems that these hurdles are closer together than the usual distance. FWIW unless you have great speed, even 3 steps between the hurdles is difficult..many athletes need 4..which again is alternate front legs and is slow and messy..so if u dont get 3, forget it.
hah his arms like that cause its such a short distance and he has an amazing quickness from the time he leaves the ground to the time he touches after the hurdle. His form reminds me of ryan braithwae who won the outdoor world athletics last year
nice work, good footspeed over the hurdle, but whats with your left arm? it aint moving backwards while u're clearing! well everybody has his own technique! keep up the work

Hey runner110, has your coach taught you to keep your trail arm by your side instead of pulling it backwards?
My biggest rival in the UK does this and he is coached by Collin Jacksons old coach. I am self-coached, and need some tips. Also what time do you run?
Thanks

the hurdles are very short to create the high speed and work your feet between the hurdles. High frequency. I think it's 24ft. between.
runner110 3 years ago
wen im running the hurdles do i jump off the same foot?
supagts4u 3 years ago
@runner110 they are only short if you are fast...most people find it difficult to even get the 3- im sure you know this.

I think his coach has taught him to do this. I have a feeling it is a secret some coaches know about that helps accelerate hurdle clearance.
