  • is Bobby still singing, havent heard about him for a long time, would like to see one of his shows

  • The background seems to be from the 1967 Expo at Montreal Canada.I recognize the "Ontario Pavillion". I was there! One night at Expo '67, as it was called, my brother and I were having a drink...I spilled my beer all over my pants!!! A retired Catholic priest in Ontario. I haven't had a beer since! If you believe that, I also have the Golden Gate Bridge to sell you! I wasn't even thirty at the time.

  • @watchful38 omg fontfpmsl

  • God I love him.

  • such a treat, thank you

  • thanks for sharing, great tune to look back upon, would you have "watercolordays" by chance?manother one i remember well but can't find.

  • Bobby Goldsboro One of my 60s favorite great songs good guy

  • Recognize the voice singing harmony on the chorus? That's Ray Stevens.

  • @gejopari Great job by both Bobby Goldsboro and Ray Stevens, two of the best entertainers/songwriters ever. I'm not sure where the video was made, but it looked like a British red ensign flag, which could have meant either Manitoba, Ontario, or a place where the former Canadian flag flew before it was replaced by the Maple Leaf flag.

  • @JayBBluejay The place was Montreal, Canada, and the Pavillion was Ontario's. The flag is the Ontario Flag, which has the British Union Jack in the upper left hand corner & a Maple Leaf at the right lower side. Our Ontario flag remains the same. I was at expo '67 and visited the Ontario Pavillion & American Pavillion as well. I was 28 at the time & a Doctoral student at Laval U in Quebec City. My thesis director said to me: "Vous etes encore tres jeune." ("You're still very young.")

  • @gejopari if you listen carefully to :"Little Things", you hear Ray Stevens on harmony also

  • The song was recorded on October 15, 1965(during the "Broomstick Cowboy" album sessions) & released as United Artitsts single # 980a on January 7,1966. Another great song from Bobby Goldsboro! Thanks for posting it!

  • @brentthegent Wonder if "She Chased Me' was recorded about the same time?

    Both sound simmliar

  • Oh wow...Talk about great memories!!!

    Thanks for posting this...

Been well over 40yrs since I heard this last and remembered every word...

    What a hoot!!!

  • I think this song sounds much more recent than 1966. And I think it's Disneyland, by the way...

  • @shmuli9

Sounds like the mid 60's to me.

  • @shmuli9 It entered the Billboard Hot 100 on February 19th, 1966.

  • @SixtiesPopGold So it was probably recorded in late 1965?

  • @shmuli9 Well, December 1965 or January 1966, I'd say.

  • @SixtiesPopGold hee hee yahh hardly any leaves on the trees

  • @SixtiesPopGold It was recorded in October 1965 in Nashville Tennessee.

  • @shmuli9 Actually, it's Expo 67 up in Montreal (see photos at Wikipedia).

  • Anyone know where this was filmed?

  • Little Things is a great track. Check out the Drugstore Cowboy soundtrack. Would love to see a HQ video of that.

  • Without doubt,s this track along with Voodoo Woman, was his finest moments. After these two tracks it was downhill, recording rubbish like Honey.

  • this still gets played at northern soul venues.ktf
