Customer service hell. Their representative is overworked and underpaid. (How do you measure what they know against how well it's communicated. He speaks English but seemingly has no in depth knowledge.) Microsoft giving the rep enough time to answer every question is great!. The "customer" guy wasting an hour. um... maybe not. - Comments about technology +1 Microsoft!
This is priceless, although concerning the first associate in particular, he was taking far too many liberties out of sheer ignorance. Of course defragmentation needs to happen, because file-allocation-table and NTFS by their nature occupy sectors nearest the center of the spindle first -- not the layout that would make the most strategic sense. These paradigms were thought up back when most systems used floppy disks -- who worried about fragments when diskettes held no more than 1.44M?
Most OSes (Linux, OS X, Solaris, AIX, BSD etc) do not need defragging. Windows needs defragging because the FAT and NTFS filesystems it supports are poorly designed.
honestly windows sucks because it freezes too much and fucks up a lot, Mac is more reliable no doubt but software wise theres not much extra you can do since most is only available for microsoft but Mac owns Windows simply because it don't fuck up as easily great video man, also how in the world did you upload it it must have taken forever, plus how did you get away with going over the 10 minute limit?
"Just a bunch of open source" well fuck you. The idiot starts laughing when he is told about Linux. Well, you know the saying, whoever laughs last, laughs best (at least that's the saying in my country). So, haha Microsoft! 90% of companies use Linux for their servers and sooner or later they're going to use it for desktops, too.
What I love about OS X is that you don't have to do ANY maintenance on them. I love Linux too but as a desktop OS it's a long, long way from being as good as OS X.
Every OS is written by people who are fallible, and therefore make mistakes. There will always be bugs, glitches, and other unintended sections of code that can be exploited.
Breif history of Mac's Viruses. 1. Mac goes on TV and makes adds about how they don't get viruses. 2. Hackers put viruses out for Mac. 3. Norton now makes security for Macs to protect them. 4. There are viruses for Mac.
Ya I wish that Microsoft did something about it when you Sent an Error report to Microsoft. Back when I used Fedora Core if there was an error they would e-mail me the next day or the same day and tell me how to fix it without me even asking them. Microsoft beat that!
hi there. Vince here. just wanted to say good work on this video. it was very well "Put Together". Something to keep in mind, we are not the big money makers. we just try our best within our scope to assist in answering questions to give a better understanding for those who do not understand. There is no comapny out there that I know of that can produce perfect software. I know one thing, if everyone in this world were honest then using Microsoft Software would be much more enjoyable. Take Care
We are not the big money makers? Who are We? Are We Micro$oft? The reason I stopped using Microsoft products and produced Ultumix GNU/Linux was because Windows kept freezing and didn't work and it was expensive. I Didn't even know about Micro$oft's dishonesty at the time.
I'm actually Impressed that there are people like yourself that stay on top of all this stuff on OS products. I just installed CentOS 5 and Love it and will be installing Cpanel/whm on top. but as like any OS out there, Ya gotta spend money to make work what you need, 1200.00 later using Linux i can now enjoy hosting my own websites.Too bad the Bible is only one book but interpreted so many ways it steers many good people away. The best interpretation lies within the person and reading abilities
If you're using Linux now then surely you have learned something about UNIX architecture and why UNIX based OSes are so much more secure than Windows. How many Linux viruses are there? How can you claim there are OS X viruses? :-S
Incidentally OS X's file system hardly fragments. FAT32 and NTFS are poorly designed filesystems.
Well the original was an hour and a half with the first guy's ramblings. I guess I could go threw and chop it all together but that might be considered taking it out of context. If you want to redo it use keepvid to download the video and edit it yourself. I don't mind.
Well thanks for your comments. If you know anyone who needs to see this video send the link to them and if you want to put it in your website if you have one. :) Share the software!
Well I never knew Sun did that but ya Microsoft will lock you out if their software decides that you may have done something that would violate any part of their EULA.

Lies! Provide proof of one OS X virus in the wild. Companies like Norton love to claim there are Mac viruses so they can sell their product.

How well bugs are reported, and fixed are what makes an OS worthy of mission crucial use.

Macintosh / Apple systems are compatible with a lot of viruses out there now that con do some rather irritating things to your machine.
