  • I got to see this rock in the lunar curatorial facility at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. It's big! Turns out to be an impact melt with an anorthosite cap with a glassy bottom. It's likely ejecta from the Nectaris basin and later ejected from South Ray crater at the Apollo 16 landing site.

  • hahaha! This is kid's joke. Look at the shadow of the guy behind. It's getting shorter. hahahaha.

  • Oh that is too funny! I thought the rock would be a lot lighter; what the heck was that thing made of???

  • lets say this was a hoax. well, the russians would found out, and sendt up a ship later. asking, where are the flag, rest of the LM and so.

  • ...people, watch at :30-:36 it's obvious the rock just tilts around like it was in a 1/6th gravity zone, moon gravity. when he's talkign about how heavy it is, he's mentioning what it will be once it's back on earth

  • So, was it four pounds of rock? (5/1)

  • Where he casually uproots the rock . . . this is what science is for. So men can go to other worlds and pick up rocks. I probably sound facetious, but I'm entirely serious. Hopefully you all know what I mean, at least those who don't think it's a hoax (it fucking WASN'T a hoax.)

  • 4.7 pounds, and it sounds like he's trying to pick up a fifty pound bag of dogfood. Anyone who watches this and think it's authentic, needs their damn head examined! Or go ahead and donate your brain to science now, as it isn't doing you one goddamned bit of good!

  • Actually, "Big Muley" turned out to be almost 26 lbs. on earth--4.3 lbs. on the moon. If you're on earth and wearing stiff, bulky gloves, try picking up something that large weighing 4.3 lbs. In other words, try wearing a pressurized A7L suit, high-voltage, insulated electrical gloves or boxing gloves and picking up an American football half-filled with water (about 4.5 lbs.).

If you think that's easy, I want what you're smokin'.

  • He was estimating the weight, keep in mind he's handled a lot of material in the moon's gravity. He wasn't saying it felt like 20 lbs there, he's trying to put it in Earth perspective. They have a weight budget for reentry.

  • that rock is from arizona, thats all!

  • The reason it is heavy is because yes its in 1/6 gravity but you must take into account so are the astronauts who are wearing pressurized suits...Any one who thinks this is fake is in a fantasy world due to the RECON PHOTOs of last year showing the landing sites and the decent stafes

  • t the rock was probaly 100 lb and was a subtanse that is very dense so it felt like 10-20 pounds

  • 20 pounds of earth rock

  • Zero brains.

  • ur being silly

  • FUNNY how that was THE ONLY ROCK of that size anywhere on the entire surface that they were "EXPLORING."

Why would they keep emphasizing="THAT'S 20 POUNDS OF ROCK." Like so fucking what?Like -it'll b hard to pick up?20divided by 6=three point 3 pounds???Like-"Now we have definite proof.?"NOT

WHAT A SCAM.WE NEVER WENT TO THE MOON.---EVER

  • all you belivers don't have a clue why this had to be faked it was to avoid ww.3 they had to make it or fake it and as they could'nt fail they faked it.

  • eric thats a lie and you know it the photos show nothing just a few dark pixels which nasa put in i'll wait to see what china and india find thanks.

  • The lunar reconnaissance orbiter just photographed the Apollo landing sites on the moon, and the landers are all there, complete with footprints etc. Of course these conspiracy nutters will even claim the photos are fake. They do not live in an evidence based reality.

  • What footprints???? all they showed where pixels that could easily be photoshopped and took a week to be released to the press.

  • Have they been to the moon since? if not WHY?

  • We could explain it to you but if you have to ask then you're too stupid to understand. Just trust us, there's a lot of very good reasons why we only sent 6 manned missions to the moon and then quit. Try to come up a few on your own and see what it feels like to think, you might enjoy the experience.

  • got nothig to do with that, its a case of not being able to grip very easily with a restrictive glove...dork

  • Look how heavy the 20lbs rock is on the Moon. What happend to the 1/6th gravity?

20lbs. should be only 3 lbs. on the Moon. Why was it so heavy for him? Clear proof it was on Earth.

  • it not heavy, can barly move his finger with them gloves on, if it was heavy, he wouldnt be able to shuffle it ouround like that

  • Hey dummy he's wearing a clumsy bulky spacesuit that restricts his movement.

  • What happened to the "1/6th Gravity" ? This is proof it was a Hoax.

  • Absolutely not Tim. The 1/6 gravity is there. Watch the dust at 0:45.

Get over it. In 1969 Americans landed on the moon.

  • he has such difficulty lol

  • We did go to the moon, but not when people think we did. The actual video that was show to the public was a deliberate fake, used as a plan B scenario. NASA even admits to using a studio for post effects in case things went wrong.

What people arent ready to face is the fact that we've had technology to go to the moon for decades, and its far more in depth than you think. If you REALLY care about your life and country...search Richard C hoagan, he knows everything there is to know about nasa

  • agreed

  • Thanks for posting this,I love it.I know those videos werent faked by NASA like some bums out here trying to say.We wont be having this type of technology today if it werent for those space missions especially Apollo.
