Kai left foot brakes in his MR2 to neutralize handling. Normally, you'd use left foot braking to counter understeer in a FWD car, 'cause when you left foot brake you keep your right foot on the accelerator. You wouldn't do this in a RWD car 'cause they naturally oversteer when acceleration is applied. Mid-engines will oversteer when brakes are applied.

One of my personal cars is an mid-engine vehicle (Pontiac Fiero) and I use left foot from time to time to control weight shifting in corners.

True. When you learn the pedal control in order to avoid spin-out, MR is formidable weapon to choose. In the case of Kai's SW20 MR2 GT-S, he was fast, but not as fast as Takumi's TRD race-tuned AE86 Trueno. Tak learned all of his touge skills on Akina, thus making Takumi a most dangerous foe to race against.

oi J8united what you dont know is that the engine in that 86 is a Formular Atlantic 4A-GE engine makes 240hp at over 11000rpm so dont be fooled in thinking its a slow car or it will be a white blur

I love it when takumi faces kyochi. It's a good race because it's a pretty slow car v.s a 350hp and 7.9 acceleration.
