Audrey Rose seems to be a little girl who reincarnated a bit too soon. What's interesting is that Audrey's brain doesn't remember her past life, but her "soul" seems to, which could mean that we all do have souls...souls with a memory bank. But only, i.e., if you believe in that sort of thing, right? It's food for thought.
Susan Swift is to me a great actress i loved her in Burned at the Stake where she played Ann Putnam/Loreen Graham,The way she can change her Dialect from old english to American-English is perfect.A shame really that you dont see much of her.i did see her a few minutes in Halloween 6.
I love you so much (1969Fever) for uploading all these amazeing movies you have made my friday nights now awesome forever thanks for caring to share you are beautiful!!..
my mother named me after ivy in this movie! i was never allowed to watch it and now that i'm in college a decided to find it and form my on view of the story.
This movie was my first lesson on reincarnation/past lives. My grandmother and I would watch this every time it came on the movie channel in the late 80s. So surreal to see it on youtube. Meeemmmmories! Thanks for sharing this!!
the husband was absolutely right, that that weird man had no business interfering in their lives, trying his best to steal their daughter away from them. the mother should have supported her husband. instead, she complete disregarded anything her husband said, and gave the weirdo all his power. If i were that husband I would not only divorce her, but possibly bring her to court for being an accomplice to murder
It seems like the people in these movies where a tragedy of the paranormal/supernatural happens always have incredible pictures of themselves and their lives.
I certainly understand the concept of reincarnation...that's easy. What I don't get is how people seem to think the soul enters the body at birth. Makes more sense to understand that the soul enters the womb of the woman at the moment of conception, and at that instant, the physical body begins to grow, supplied with the energy of the living soul taking shelter of the womb, being put there by the semen of the male. All of us have past lives, some remember, most don't.
I've been looking for this movie for such a long time. Saw parts of it when I was 8 - and have wanted to watch the whole thing since (that was 28yrs ago...) Didn't help that I thought it was called Margaret Rose and Ivy - no wonder I was unable to find it. Thankyou for posting it :)
Dude.... My legit name is Audrey Rose. Audrey being my first name, Rose is my middle name. When I found out there was a movie titled this I flipped out! It's so awesome being a famous movie! :DD

all Marsha Mason does in this entire movie is cry. after a while, she is not a sympathetic character at all, but just plain annoying

This almost reminds be of that old English horror film, "The Ass Fix".
It's excellent. A so-called scientist, in the 1800s, thinks he can
"cheat" death. He even guilotines his daughter. When it comes to
eerie suspense, "The Ass Fix" has EVERYTHING going for it!
