Alright, so i found the magic bullet for getting the best video quality for youtube....
on the mac side, get an app called ffmpegx and compress the movie as xdiv (AVI), and mp3 sound.... size: 448 x 350
and on the pc side, you do what you do to make an AVI with the xdiv compression...
DivX seems to work fine too.
