China's communist party is all about propaganda, deception and money to manipulate Chinese nationals to do their bidding worldwide!!!!
Both forms of economic governance is inefficient, environmentally detrimental, and exploitative of the lower class. They serve only the elite sector of its population. The power of the people to make decisions about their form of government has been destroyed. These systems oppress the working people by eliminating their human rights, exploiting them for profit, and detaining them as political prisoners for protesting at time when they must be heard. There is no democracy.
Even in USA, all the developed countries in the world, politics is all for show, they all have economic supporters behind them. It's all run with a capitalist system.

There is no freedom under communist china.....We want democracy....We hate communism....we want to elect our own government.......I pray for chinese democracy !!
Well, if you mean some kind of textbook communism you'd be right. But if you mean communism in practice, what basically happens is that the state functions as an autocrat to control and regulate all private activity, on the premise that it will level or equalize material reward for everyone.
To enact that idealism, a large army of enforcers is required, and the suppression of dissent is required, and the conformity of opinion is required. Hence, a political system contrary to democracy.
@2ZXY2 Any ideology that fails when it leaves the textbook and enters the real world is not a great ideology. And whether or not a degree of proprietary self-interest (as opposed to selfishness) can lead to problems, any ideology whose only response to negotiating conflicts that arise from differences between people is to squash differences in general and to kill the good along with the bad, in the name of superficial material equality, is evil.
I am not Chinese but I know a bit of Chinese history. It is funny to hear Europeans being all worried about Chinese human rights when they robbed China in the first place. We the Europeans robbed China which was one the richest countries in 19 th century. Then the communist party liberated China from the de facto colonial rule and finally made it independent.
communism is just a scam these days. They are all pretty much capitalists but they use the disguise and ideaology of communism to maintain absolute control over the control and does not allow negativities against the government so they can keep their power.
China does not and will interfere with the internal affairs of foreign sovereign nations.
If the Western nations provoke us, do they expect us to get to our knees and act like we have a problem. Westerners are nothing but gangsters and thugs. USA is simply a police state. USA world policing is more severe than Hitler SS police.
Next time a Westerner should simply STFU and we'll solve our own problems when we need to.
Your last sent. is exactly the point. From pre-Shang dynasty to now, China has historically had great difficulty changing the destructive aspects of the culture. As an East Asian Studies major who is married to a Chinese women, whom has lived in Taiwan, and studied Chinese martial arts for over ten years, I can tell you, the problems in Chinese culture are complex and difficult. The culture, for 3000 yrs. has been violent, sexist, elitist, abusive, hierarchical, and resistant to change.
The CCP has lifted close to 500 million Chinese citizens out of poverty in the last 20 years. It has achieved this extraordinary feat whilst living peacefully within its own borders.
In the same period the US and UK have invaded countless countries, plundered thier resources and killed millions of their citizens.
The PRC demonstrates a model of progress and development that does not rely on war and imperalism.
The only prosperity China has achieved has been built on the backs of wage slaves, and its benefits are reserved for a handful of elites at the expense of the vast majority. No Socialist model to look to here.
DMPineau: I disagree. Socialism is a transitionary phase where class struggle continues under conditions where the working class control state power. There is no blueprint for structuring a socialist economy or formula to determine the degree of private property that is necessary at any given time.
The PRC has learned from the experience of the SU, whose failure to meet the material needs of its citizens, meant that they were unwilling to defend the revolution when it was threatened.
And how do you reconcile the fact that hundreds of millions of PRC citizens have escpaped poverty with your claim that "benefits are reserved for a handful of elites"?
DMPineau uses Western standards of "rich" to define what is poverty and what is richness. That is a common mistake that the Western media loves to capitalise on. You can not use USD as a standard currency to measure prosperity.
In terms of the usage of the word "slave" I think he has forgotten that a slave can not "choose" over their own occupation. Chinese people have the choice of their schooling and workforce. They are slaves of capitalism like all Westerners but not more a slave.
Since CCP did the most part of defending the mainland during WWII until the allies ended it, they keep on capitalizing on that part of history as the defender and hatred towards Japan is to be generated as means to control the population.
The general population was simply brainwashed and being allowed to dissent towards particular targets, backhanded by the Party.
Because we realised imparticular with the ANTI CHINA media in the West... it is obvious that Westerners are simply trying to use us as their scapegoat for their own problems.
So it's some reaction to Western behavuiour.. isn't that just a mere paranoia. China's problems, such as they are, of its own making. The western media doesn't create the corruption of the CCP. It's a chinese problem. China must address itself.
China's has problems. The West has its own problems of equal severity.
However the bashing of China's problems only serve to distract Westerners from their own problems. Its a farcical attempt from the West to justify its non existent "higher moral standards".
Western media does not create corruption. However it exaggerates the corruption.
If i stole 10 dollars and the media said I stole 10,000. Will that have the same effect on the audience?
It's not bashing. Isn't it interesting that I can a discussion about the flaws of say the USA and it remains that. The minute I try to discuss China's flaws an attack on the West follows...
China can't survive under democrazy rule you retarts just check out what happens in taiwan. Those chinese people are attacking each other becuase half of them do not agree with anothers view and so the whole parliament throws shoes and punches at each other.
One thing I find funny about these government "ideology" is the quote from Winston Churchill "It has been said that democracy is the worst form of government except all the others that have been tried."
In US, we are facing a difficult crisis, as the world is coming to a globalization, our government becoming more corrupt, and economy becoming weaker.
How could a democratic government become corrupt? Isn't it ran by the people? Not quite, in US, we choose representatives,
our representatives are individual human beings capable of becoming corrupted. Private Contractor companies associated with the Iraq Wars have bribed enough political figures to get tax payer money spent overseas in Iraq.
George Bush is a part of the Carolyle corporation, associated with Osama's brother, bought a military company which is currently funded by tax payer's money.
Dick Cheney was the CEO leader of Halliburton, a corporation which supplies oil and other supplies in the middle east, also funded by the tax payer's money.
These corporate man after their own interest, rather than the people's interest.
But the funny thing about China is the exact opposite.
In the 1950s, Communist China Party took control of China, and Mao Ze Dong started to spread "propaganda", which supports the idea of "sacrifice yourself for the one great country", to the new generation of Chinese.
Historical evidence suggested that Mao and his closest associates became corrupted, and took advantage of this situation.
After Mao died, Deng Xiao Ping, Jiang Ze Min etc, etc. They where all corrupted.
But when Hu Jing Tao became the president, there was an age gap.
Hu is in his 50s, which suggest that him and his party where brought up completely "brainwashed", by the Communist party, to "sacrifice for your country.. etc etc".
Which means if everyone was completely "brainwashed" by the government, and the government elite is also "brainwashed" by the older generation, then: The Chinese government lead by Hu Jing Tao is not corrupted, and looks after the people, contrary to America.
every crisis we are seeing in China, is in the middle of being improved. Given the fact that China's real government history extended no longer than 50 years ago, I'd say China is in the middle of fixing all the crisis it is having.
With Tibetans rioting the streets, breaking down society, Xin Jiang radicals, suicide bombing all over China, and price of oil growing high, fixing China is not a easy thing to do.
If my knowledge of the "Mandate of Heaven" and current events of China (Sichuan Earthquake, tainted food, ext) serve me correct, these times might be the beginning of the end for the Chinese Communist party. Many Chinese people are feeling disenfranchised with the CCP and it grow to the point in which the people of China will vocally protest against the CCP. The CCP will either make even more reforms that will destroy it's communist name once and for all or it will be overthrown.
@crazylaz52 Real socialism didn't work... as capitalism also didn't work... we need corporativism! not the capitalist corporativism! i mean real corporativism! search about it!
China is turning into a socialist oligarchy. It's a shame that a nation like china is the way it is today. 2500 years of history behing them, than along came mao zedong in 1949 and destroyed china.
Don't think that just because this report is from a well-meaning, honest network, it is the truth. I'm not blaming it for intentionally imposing any agenda, but the Chinese professor is not the best person to tell us these things. The CCP has probably not intentionally decided not to pursue socialism, or that capitalist is 'superior' and only because of that, they would have given up socialism. The things is that as they too only want to be good, they still are isolated from the realities
"Communist" China is the ideal capitalist state: absolute control of the working class by the state and unfettered capitalist exploitation blessed by the totalitarian ruling class.
That is how the Chinese 'orthodox' bureaucracy is as blind, as the western elite, who claims that the voting of personnel into the parliament means choosing what decisions will be made.
china is not a communist country its a capitalist country but the so called chinese communist party still keeps its name and has a total control over the government.
reminds me of the U.S...not really a democracy but run by capitalism. But most governmment ideologies are usually different and better on paper than actually carried out in real life.
the end game is that both country try to achieve hegemony. US try to spread gobal democacy that favouirs the US. China is playing the "peaceful development" card so that one day the chinese can be the top in asia. China dont want the world, just asia. And thats the hardest part to do.
lol Chinese Communist party being called Marxist, they were Maoists and even mao wasnt a Communist he only "supported" it to get a "job" with stalin. This is the first major discrepancy I've noticed in TheRealNews reporting which are actually good odds.
I find it interesting China says they will not be a threat to American hegemony yet they are doing everything possible to acquire economic and political power. Ok, so the US can have fun invading who they want, and China can have fun being more powerful in every single other way? The end game is the same for both, through economic or military power it's about acquiring more wealth and future power. China is a threat to any other current super power.

Communism is also known as "German Socialism" LOL

If my knowledge of the "Mandate of Heaven" and current events of China (Sichuan Earthquake, tainted food, ext) serve me correct, these times might be the beginning of the end for the Chinese Communist party. Many Chinese people are feeling disenfranchised with the CCP and it grow to the point in which the people of China will vocally protest against the CCP. The CCP will either make even more reforms that will destroy it's communist name once and for all or it will be overthrown.

China is the capitalist's wet dream come true.

True dat... the most ironic part though is that they keep the communist name... they should just change to Ultra-capitalist party.

One percent of the population controls seventy percent of the wealth in China??
What kind of communism is that??

Did you know, that most voters think that communism is not supposed to be anything else?

the end game is that both country try to achieve hegemony.
