  • can you take beta alanine pre workout with your pre workout drink

  • @squatme15 yes many people do.

  • @squatme15 no not if your prewo already has beta alanine in it, you will just feel jittery and itchy if you add too much

  • WHAT IS A DURRRING WORKOUT SUPPLEMENT DOING? ISN'T IT BETTER TO JUST DRINK TONS OF WATER WHILE ENGAGING IN VIGOROUS EXERCISE? I SEE THE VALUE IN A PRE-WORKOUT SUPPLEMENT AND I GUESS THE VALUE IN A POST WORKOUT ALTHOUGH I THINK I HAVE BETTER RESULTS HAVING I HIGH PROTEIN HIGH FIBER MEAL AFTER MY WORKOUT. BUT WHAT REALLY IS THE DURRING SUPPLEMENT GIVING YOU THAT YOUR PRE-WORKOUT IS NOT PROVIDING ALONG WITH A BASIC MULTI VITAMIN?

  • @IMKINDOFABIGDEAL13 pre/intra workouts can be considered the same if there are not stims involved. Some people on a hypocaloric diet who don't want to burn muscle and don't want too many calories will sip on an anti catabolic drink. If you are not on a hypocaloric diet its not necessary. As for post workout high fiber and high protein should be reserved for an hour or 2 after training, immediately following training go w/ a 2:1 ratio of fast acting carbs and protein (~50g:25g). Hope this helps.

  • @BestPriceNutrition i am very new to weight training and not to knowledgable of all the word you are using nor do i have a specific diet because there are so many diets and supplements out there i dont know what is right for me. thanks for the quick response though

  • The longest clinical study of Beta-Alanine in humans was 12 weeks. The long term effects just aren't know yet, so I would personally stay away from it.

Post workout drink = Whey Protien + Nesquik (or dextrose). Job done.

  • @dtrrider1 beta alanine is rich in foods such as chicken and is also produced in the liver endogenously, this is the same thing people said of creatine and 19 years later the safety record speaks for itself. Thank you for watching and commenting, we appreciate it.

  • @BestPriceNutrition While it may be in our foods, it doesn't automatically mean it's good in excess amounts. Maybe we have enough from our diets already, maybe we don't. Not enough research has been done on the long term effects from supplementing it, so I'll wait a while before I decide to take it or not.

  • @dtrrider1 that is a point put out on various websites where they cite things like sodium (& saturated fats, which is nonsense) as unhealthy as an example of dietary things that are unsafe, search "it's time to end the war on salt" for some perspective on that line of thinking. Anyways it's a personal decision and one that you are certainly entitled to if you are really concerned with the safety record of beta alanine, we strongly disagree.

  • @BestPriceNutrition Thanks for the articles on salt, has made interesting reading.

I'm not doubting the benefits of beta alanine, I'm just a bit dubious about the effects of long term use. As far as I'm aware, there have been no studies that ran longer than 12 weeks. I've read some articles that suggest cycling, where you take it for 12 weeks and then stop for a while, to be on the safe side.

Thanks for the replies, it's appreciated.

  • @dtrrider1 no problem we appreciate the banter, thanks for watching.

  • Repeatedly press 0 for an Earthquake! lol, nah, seriously though - great video, really informative.

  • How did primaforces beta alanine work for u

  • hey dude......i just started gym and i wanna looose weight and get a lean body .......em 20....6 feet height and 87 kg.....what would u recommend/.??/

  • What do you reccomend for me, a 15 almost 16 year old 6ft 165 that wants to bulk up for football next season?

  • @bungboy22 stick with the following, protein, EFAs (Essential Fatty Acids), and a multivitamin. If your parents approve you could add creatine and beta alanine to the mix as well.

  • @BestPriceNutrition what kind of post workout supplement would you recommend for a 16 year-old who's 15 pounds overweight, doing p90x, and wants to add a lot of muscle and a 6-pack?

  • @DrKiIIJoy well you have to walk the tightrope of eating less than you burn and try to preserve/build as much muscle as possible. Without knowing all of the details try eating 1g protein and carbs per pound of body weight and ~0.3g fat per pound of body weight. try this for about four weeks and take pictures to monitor progress. If after four weeks you are not losing body fat, decrease your carbs to 0.75g per pound of body weight. Hope this helps.

  • @BestPriceNutrition i actually been doing this exact thing and it's been working. i just want to know what post workout supplement(s) you think would be best for building lots of muscle on P90X.

  • @DrKiIIJoy ahh ok, the best one out there is Empyrean Nutrition Insu-Pro. Look for a 2:1 ratio carbs:protein, high glycemic index carbs and fast acting protein.

  • @BestPriceNutrition and that should help me bulk up with P90X?

  • @DrKiIIJoy yes it can, however you should limit your carbs throughout the rest of the day (this is based on you saying you were 15 pounds overweight) so we assumed you were tryign to lean out. Hope this helps.

  • @BestPriceNutrition it's not that i want to lean out, i want to get bigger, i don't want lean muscle i want mass. also i haven't weighed myself in a while, so i should probably get a more accurate measurement, i might have lost a good amount of weight.

  • @DrKiIIJoy ok well if you want to bulk up no worries on limiting your calories just make sure you get enough calories to to facilitate muscle growth. Good luck

  • @BestPriceNutrition thanks! just a couple questions

    1. should try limit my carbs?

    2. will Empyrean Nutrition Insu-Pro help me build muscle and be a better deal than the P90X recovery drink?

  • @DrKiIIJoy

    1. try ~1g per pound of body weight for 4 - 5 weeks if you want to get leaner after that try cutting your carbs 10%, if you want to gain more increase 10% this way you have a baseline to start from.

    2. Insu-Pro is the best post-workout we have reviewed so far, that is not to say there are not other good ones, rather it is the best one we have seen

  • @BestPriceNutrition thanks! just one last question about insu-pro

Will it last a majority of the 3 months that make up P90X?

  • @DrKiIIJoy no problem. No, you would need about 1 bottle/month.

  • @BestPriceNutrition ohh. thats too bad. what about a great supplement under 40-50 bucks that i wouldn't have to buy more than twice but will deliver very similar results, moneys tight i'm sure you can understand.

  • @DrKiIIJoy buy a whey protein and mix in you own carbs, that will save you some $.

  • @BestPriceNutrition any specific type of carbs?

  • @DrKiIIJoy simple sugars, you can buy dextrose for very cheap and save some $.

  • @BestPriceNutrition thanks!

    and farewell!

  • nice review. I got AEN intrabolic and I was wondering what is the best way to combine it with whey protein. !

whey protein shake before workout, aen intrab during workout, real meal or whey protein shake after. what do you think? also AEN intrabolic should be combined with animal omega(EFAs)?? any help is greatly apreciated

  • @felipescalador you really don't need the intrabolic if you are taking a protein shake right before your workout, you can save some 4 and just pick some beta alanine as you are getting your aminos in your pre-workout protein shake. EFA's can be taken anytime really as they are fats and therefore not water soluble so you don't have to take them around your workout. Hope this helps.

  • How about Halodrol is that a good pre workout? And how do you usually dose it? My stomach hurts after i take it sometimes.

  • @jcrsix Halodrol does not fall under the category of pre-workout. try taking it with food and see if that helps with it upsetting your stomach.

  • can u do a review on lglutamine powders? please thanks.

  • @rammajamma1993 L-glutamine is L-glutamine. the only supplements worth reviewing are those containing UNIQUE blends of proprietary ingredients (pre-workout supps, designer proteins, test boosters, diet pills, multi-vitamins, ect).

  • are these only for men, or can women take them too. I just to get more toned but not all muscular like a bodybuilder...

  • @CraftLulz These are not gender specific, as for dosing you would just adjust according to body weight. We actually address your question directly in another video. Just visit our Youtube Channel.

  • hey, how about hemovol? is that a pre workout too?

  • @joesterp Hemovol can be used pre-workout however it’s not necessarily a pre-workout supplement in the sense that it’s not a powder with stimulants as that is what most of us think of as a pre-workout supplement. Hope this helps.

  • @BestPriceNutrition THANK YOU. so what does hemovol do? its a No reactor right? i was think about doing maxmize v2, beta alanine, and hemovol. what are your suggestions? i will order maximixe v2 and beta alanine from your site because you guys are great.

  • how long would you take a supplement before switching it up before you cant feel what i call "the kick"?

  • @tropicthunderdancers For stimulant based pre-workouts I would not go beyond 12 weeks of continuous use. However if you only take it 2-3 times per week that should be enough to slow down much of the noticeable down regulation. Many of our customers only take it for 3 of their training days per week to keep your body guessing so to speak Hope this helps.

  • @BestPriceNutrition Thanks for the tip and getting back to me. Tell you the truth, ive been taking pre-workout products for 8 straight years 6 times a weeks and every time i take something it has to hit pretty hard to feel something. il try what you say and see what results i get. Thanks again.
