  • the bests tvs of the world in my opnion.

  • i have lcd and plamsa, i choose plasma over lcd anyday

  • I use plasma panasonic for Ps3 Hdmi 720p, bluray movies. It's really NICE!

  • proud owner of 3 panasonic plasma first time you try plasma never go back.

  • @magdielito

"proud owner of 3 panasonic plasma first time you try plasma never go back."

First time you REPAIR a plasma, you'd want to go back to LCD. Unless the engineering, manufacturing and parts quality are IMPECCABLE, failure of a plasma TV or monitor is likely within five years or less.

Of course, this video advertises a line of professional plasma monitors, which are designed and built head and tails above consumer units and are also priced accordingly (EXPENSIVE).

  • nice tv

  • plasma is better.....but if i want to use a TV for gaming or to connect to a computer i will use lcd

  • @tizouta I get why you would use an LCD to connect to a computer but why on Earth would you use it for gaming? Plasmas have instant response times and burn in on the latest generation is very unlikely...

  • im a proud owner of panasonic 42 plasma pv80 model....i get what i payed for...love panasonic......enjoy both movie and ps3 gaming...

  • Yes, Panasonic Plasmas are amazing, never switching brands, I love my Panasonic Plasma, and Blu Ray player.

  • dont hurt the tv!!

  • WANT

  • You can't beat a Panasonic plasma TV, it's about the only thing Panasonic actually excels at making :-P

  • I totally agree!!!

  • nice

  • you know, what is the point of a 2 year warranty if this tv will laster 34 years? lol

  • Its true about the 2yr warrenty, I was outside it with my TX-42" and they replaced the screen free of charge after a line defect. I love Panasonic

  • Its true, these guys stand by their 2 year warrenty. I love Panasonic

  • I had an old plasma Panasonic (no hdtv...I paid something like 1900€ many years ago :-( .. ) and now I got a brand new Panasonic TX-P42S11E for 800€ and it absolutely rocks both with games (PS3 and 360 Xbox), I'm totally satisfied by this brand and plasma. Plasma blacks are really deep blacks.

  • I am a proud Panasonic TX-42" owner, and I love it most of all because it developed an screen defect after 2 years of ownership and the warrenty cover had lapsed yet on getting in touch with panasonic they advised me to a panasonic repair shop where the screen was replaced within a two week window free of charge, this is proof that you get what you pay for and there aftercare says it all. I LOVE PANASONIC!!!

  • I got a P50X10 recently. Great value. Beats the shit out of much more expensive LCDs in overall picture quality. SD picture quality is awesome too. Waayyy better than my Samsung LCD. Though I'd have to say plasmas are kinda dark when the environment is bright (especially during daytime when our room has natural light coming in) but overall it's really, really good.

  • I got a LG 42 LCD and now i think i'll get a Panasonic 50 plasma to watch movies. sweet.

  • LCD uses more power, has lag input, less deep colours but it's good at being bright and white. I don't like it too bright.

  • LCDs use less power than plasmas and give off less heat. They are also less expensive per size, are available in smaller sizes, etc.

Blacks are better on plasmas, but LCDs are brighter. That makes them better monitors or for gaming or TV in more brightly lit environments.

Lag is subjective. Most LCDs are under 5ms. Most TV runs 24 frames, but even at 60 frames/s, that is still over 16ms.

I'd go plasma for a 50+" basement theatre. For gaming or general TV viewing... LCD.

  • and sharp

  • 1:22 so the plasma is wii safe! boo yeah!!!

  • Plasmas have less input lag, so if you play a lot of video games, go plasma.

  • LCD and Plasma have their strong points. it depends for what you need the TV. for example: if you want to watch a blu-ray film or play with a gaming console, then a LCD is much better. and if you just want to watch normal TV, then plasma is better.

  • the new led tvs have better colors and black plus are better for games

  • if ur cheap go with LCD

  • led is the best

  • i have a LCD HDTV, but i think Plasma does look better, but i kind of scare of burn in cause i usually play games more than watch movies.

Plasma is still better than LCD thought, although i like LCD a bit better because its lighter to carry.

but since LED come out, i think LED is better.

  • plasma is better to watch football and channels not HD

  • plasma not energy efficient :S mine 42" 400 Watts :O

  • He likes to lift his right eye brow a lot.

  • then why all i see in stores now are LCD HD and not plasma....I would go cheap and get the cheapest lcd hd posible cause u know ull get a new tv 4 years along the line when technology is better and cheaper.

  • No shit. Panasonic Viera rocks. Plasma's are better because it has darker blacks. Blacks make a good picture quality, not just contrast ratio. I dare you to go in the picture setting on your plasma and switch the "black" setting to "light". You'll see how having poor blacks destroys the picture quality. Then, switch the "black" setting back to dark. We call that an LCD vs. Plasma simulator on your own plasma. LCD's

    suck. (most)

  • Wrong, plasma is way better for gaming because it has less lag input compare to a LCD.

  • can use plasma for pc gaming too?

  • i do use plasma for gaming

  • O rly? U sound lik an epxert i think i wil lissten to u.

  • give me 1 good reason why plasma isnt good for games and movies. I went into the store and plasma was twice as good as expensive lcd. burn in has also been fixed. Plasma is way better than lcd.

  • I agree with you. Stores want to sell you LCD because they have greater margins on these but plasma displays way more acurate colors especially when you like to watch movies. I just got the new new Pana V10 plasma and the picture quality is amazing!

  • Actually Plasma is better for movies too.

And new plasmas are good for games too as long as you don't leave games too long on pause or play more than say...8 hours a day.

Of course, LCDs are still great of course for games and you don't have to worry about leaving a game on pause for a long time.

  • gaming plasma better faster images are better with plasmas and better colors.

  • I have both LCD and Plasma. I think plasma is much better.

  • i agree

  • Oh man.. when you hit the Panasonic with the ball.. my heart about stopped... glad to see it came out unfazed.

  • nice, i still like my sony bravia rear projection lcd, but when the time finally comes for a new tv, if it keeps going the way it is, plasma will be the way i go

  • GREAT STUFF

  • nicely done! Didn't realize the durability of the panny's screen.

  • lol hes having fun with that ball

  • thank you alot for telling me whats better , i hate the other videos when they keep saying it all the same , thanks alot for helping me

  • Dude wtf you scared the shit out of me man. When you let that ball slam on the screen i said out loud rather loudly " what the f are you doing!" But it's nice to know that plasma's are strong like that. =) I have the consumer version Th-42PZ80U is there any big difference?

  • try throwing it force & see if it'll break!

  • Great service life, contrast and viewing angles. But what about picture burn-in?
