  • wheres rest of this?

  • One minor problem, it would make more sense for week 1 to be April 2, 2001 so that they can start without it impacting Wrestlemania that year.

  • I wanna hear the rest of it!

  • stain in your mother panties LMAO

  • As great as his fantasy booking of the WCW Invasion angle is, ANYBODY could have pulled it off better...

  • NOW THAT'S A PROMO!

  • 6.12 the NEW CORNETTE FACE lol

  • Why did you cut it off at the best part?!

  • Most obnoxious host of all time

  • I've seen this and was a little disappointed in all honesty. I won't spoil how he actually booked the Invasion because it's fucking tremendous and worth watching, but he actually uses too many guys who were big in the NWA and were finished by the time the angle happened. Jim's knowledge of WCW after he left the promotion isn't too great. I would recommend it as a rental.

  • Vince hates southern people....he was born in North Carolina and grew up in Virginia and watched his mother marry abusive rednecks.

  • @TheCJShamelessFTW I think he also spent some time in Rhode Island

  • what shoot is this? id like to watch more about the rebooking of the invasion

  • @bigfloridapimp Same here, did you ever find out where to get it?

  • there are about 500 videos of Cornette shooting on Russo, and they are all fabulous

  • Cornette is wearing a Jimi Hendrix shirt :)

  • @joedell71 and the other guy is wearing a suit...

  • If anything, I'll say Jim's impression of Bischoff is spot on. Scary how he can cut promos for other people as well as he does.

  • Ric Flair down the steps... AND??? part 2 if its available would be great

  • @Dudeamis Ric cuts a worked shoot promo saying "thats fine vince you can job me out, but wrestling is a dangerous business and accidents happen...Wouldn't it be a shame if one of your guys broke a leg...or a neck"

  • I would also like the rest of this if it's not too much trouble :)

  • Can I get part two please? Cornette is amazing.

  • part 2 please

  • omg you sound more believable would of loved to see you own a wrestling companie

  • @ryuthedragon1234 cornette doesn't own ROH but has a big part in that company

  • part 2 please

  • i want a part 2 of this too. this is just too awesome.

  • Could you send me a link for part 2 please? This is too good not to see!

  • Cornette and Russo get along now? That's proof that every enemy can become friends, even the religious psychopaths in third world countries.

  • @ReinEngel2

No. This was back when Cornette was still working for TNA. NO they are no longer on speaking terms.

  • @ReinEngel2 Corny has stated he wants to piss on Russo's grave, so I'm pretty sure they aren't getting along.

  • AH it cuts off at the worst time

  • I would LOVE to see the rest!

  • Could you send me the rest of this please???

  • the whole "Guest Booker" segment can be found on Justin TV. It begins with his rant about hardcore wrestling but goes all the way through how Corny would re-book the Invasion

  • Oh I have to hear the rest of this. Anyway I can see it?

  • My understanding is that Vince bought WCW at a last minute fire sale. If that is in fact the case, he would not have ample time to negotiate contract buy-out deals for Hogan, Nash, Hall, Goldberg, etc.

  • @philaman1972 But the top end guys had AOL Time Warner deals for giant money. Vince Didn't want to upset the pay structure. The same thing happened when WCW guys started coming to WWF like Marc Mero. He was getting paid as much as Undertaker.

  • i want the rest too.

  • @ohdeasu ME TOO!

  • Comment removed

  • @ohdeasu Add me to that list! Corny was just getting to the best part!

  • need part 2

  • i need the rest of this plz no matter what!!!

  • send me more please!!

  • please send the remaining parts!!!

  • That invasion Idea....would have been AMAZING

  • lol what he said about Mcmahon is exactly what he did

  • Please send 2nd part, thanks.

  • "WWFU" - That's not PG

  • Why won't you just upload part two so people aren't asking for links.

  • SEND ME PART TWO NOOWWWWWW...please :D

  • Do you still have this whole video???

I SO need to see it!

  • 0:30 - 2 months later, Cornette was fired for threatenining to kill Russo.

  • 10:40 "He don't know whether to wind his ass or scratch his watch."

I have no way of knowing whether that was intentional. In any case, it's both awesome and hilarious.

  • so true about how UFC is much like prowrestling but real and better.

  • I need Part 2 of this too if possible

  • Send me part 2! I'm intrigued!

  • Comment removed

  • where is part two? if you dont mind me asking

  • I agree with him - There are only so many ways to end a fight - and wrestling has done them all - Those that are somewhat legal, anyhow . . . And if you are a fan long enough - You have seen them all. I think when they removed the cloak and allowed the fans to know it is not nor has it ever been 'real' - they changed the whole way fans looked at the business . . . You had to give them more - But when is more enough?

  • hmmm so him and russo must have fallen out again since this was made cuz in cornette's latest YouShoot he said he fucking despises Russo and wants to stay alive long enough to be able to piss on his grave lmao. anyone know how they fell out again?

  • Send me part 2? I'd greatly appreciate it.

  • I like that Vince promo idea

  • Bitchin' shirt JIM!

  • Anyway I can get the link for the other parts of this? sounds good

  • Wait a sec, I think this interview was still during the time he was still in TNA, and I know he said some stuff about Russo since he left TNA so that means Cornette still hates Russo, Oh thank goodness

  • NO! Jim NO! dont go soft on Vince Russo now, not after all the shit you talked, please keep hating him, he deserves it especially after ruining wrestling

  • Jimmy is getting soft???? Say it ain't so!!!

  • Can I get that link too?

  • Auuugh! Oh, it cuts off at the best part! XD If the other half is posted somewhere, can I get a link, please? Or even just knowledge on where I can buy it?

  • can u send it to me i am intrigued on how Jimmy C can work the wcw vs wwf invasion angle

  • to me, 9:14 is where everything becomes "what if" territory. I mean, shit, seems like the whole "You're gonna roll over & play dead for everybody on my roster" pretty much happened with the WCW and ECW guys. The only ones who seemed to get much of a "fair shake" were the ones who had already jumped ship long before the buyouts.

  • is there more? Cornette is awesome

  • Where is the rest??

  • Can I get the second half to this please?

  • where's the second part?

  • @TeslaDRay

I am trying to send you links to the rest of it but you have "friend lock" on and i can't send it!

  • @RiseandFallofWCW

oh i added you as friend, so fire away.

  • @RiseandFallofWCW Could you send it to me too?

  • @RiseandFallofWCW Why not put the link to part 2 in your description so everyone can view it?

  • @RiseandFallofWCW can i have second part.? do you hav it up?

  • @RiseandFallofWCW

Please try and send them to me as well. Thank you.

  • @RiseandFallofWCW Can you send me the link as well??

  • @RiseandFallofWCW I'd like to see that too actually

  • @RiseandFallofWCW part 2 plz?

  • @RiseandFallofWCW send it to me, please

  • @RiseandFallofWCW

    Please send.

  • @RiseandFallofWCW is there any way I can see part 2?

  • @RiseandFallofWCW Can u send me the link as well

  • @RiseandFallofWCW this is epic i need it too!

  • @RiseandFallofWCW where is part 2

  • @RiseandFallofWCW We need part 2!

  • @RiseandFallofWCW can I have the link?

  • @RiseandFallofWCW Could i PLEASE have Part 2? send it to My Inbox please? ;)

  • @RiseandFallofWCW Please send me part 2

  • So he went from hating Russo, to being able to tolerate him, to hating him again

  • @JayRequard He didn't like Ted Turner, and Turner was from Atlanta. Yeeeeah...

  • @HeavyMetalBeliever Funny thing is, Vince McMahon is from Pinehurst, North Carolina Originally.

  • Vinnie Ru is Russo right? He has to be.

  • Anyone else lose a little respect for him considering the contrast between what he said in this interview and in the second edition about Vince Russo?

  • At 0:22, I was already gone...I almost pissed myself laughing...this guy if fucking hilarious!

  • Lol, after this Guest Booker, he came back for YouShoot . . . then he ripped Russo a new one

  • which shoot is this from?

  • what is this from? I'd like ro purchase it in its entirety.

  • @JayRequard

incidental, they moved up north early on and have seperated themselves from their past.

  • geez cornette's angle sucks... i prefer having the heel stone cold best heel ever lead the alliance. WHAT?

  • @supertrollinyourface

he was such a good heel that the fans were begging to turn him back to a face.

i do agree w/ you tho, he was great as a heel.

  • @supertrollinyourface Stone Cold was a midcarder at that time... And his promos sucked , and he couldn't do shit....

  • Funny, back in the 90's I hated this dude as a manager lol. Now, out of the shoots, he's the one I believe the most lol

  • @TheMDC23 i too hated him , but i realize that was his job. and he did a great job at it. he is my favorite mgr from the old days....

    S

  • @scott917 He's up there on my list, however my hat has to go to Bobby the Brain Heenan. Best manager period. A side note- I wish someone would get into the business today, just to put all of his or her time and efforts solely on being the best manager. Not whatever the hell is on lately. Not one good manager, or even promo person really. I'm not trying to bash the 'superstars' but come on, it's kinda like people are half assing it. idk just my 'professional' opinion lol

  • Cornette's awesome, but dude coughs way too much.

  • where the rest tell me it doesnt end liek this

  • isnt that what vince did destroyed the wcw roster and had them look week and useless

  • It all started in the carnivals. The matches started getting fixed as a way to make money through betting AND money was down as the matches were too long and too boring.

  • could someone show the entire ivasion scene would like to see it if its possible

  • i'd like to see jim cornette and billy jack haynes do a shoot together

  • if only the real "invasion" happened like this :(

  • One of the major networks should be watching this! Jim Cornette is funnier than Jay Leno, David Letterman and Conan combined. That show would rule!

  • this is very good

  • jim needs to head up tna ...the show tonight SUCKED

  • I love Corny, but he couldn't be more wrong about UFC being like wrestling... UFC has stolen boxing's audience, not wrestling's... Corny, like so many oldsters, want so much for wrestling to be "legit", they mistakenly think UFC does what wrestling does/did, but it doesn't... UFC is competition, while wrestling is a morality play. UFC hasn't hurt wrestling, bad writing and choreography has.

  • @DeepSouthWrestling1 Corny actually does have a valid point about UFC being pro wrestling without the scripted finishes. If you look at the history of catch wrestling and shoot wrestling, it was amateur and professional wrestlers in Europe and Japan using submission holds in addition to pins to win matches. Of course, the professional matches were booked, but the amateur matches weren't. The sport of MMA sprung out of the shoot wrestling movement in Japan.

  • @potomacbrave88 : What about tag teams? What about managers? What about cheating? What about masks or gimmicks? What about babyfaces vs heels? What about wild action? What about stipulations? See, these things are truly made pro wrestling what it was... as I said, it was a morality play. In UFC (like legit sports), the idea is for the best man to win, while wrestling is a morality play... when done properly, people want to see the good guy win. Sorry, but it's wishful thinking on Corny's part.

  • @DeepSouthWrestling1 I agree with you about wrestling being a morality play, and when you have talented workers and good booking, it's great to watch. Yes, most people want to see the good guy win, but I think people will also be drawn to a good character, angle or gimmick regardless of babyface or heel. I was referring to the common ancestry, so to speak, of wrestling and MMA and how MMA sprang from a form of professional wrestling.

  • @potomacbrave88 : I suppose to an extent, although I think boxing has way more in common with UFC than wrestling... the problem is this: wrestling should NOT be treated as a legit sport. Try watching some old St Louis wrestling to see what I mean... it was boring!! Wrestling should be wild!!! It makes me sad to see/hear old timers trying to draw comparisons to UFC... it's like trying to say Rocky movies are like real boxing matches...

  • @DeepSouthWrestling1 You're right. Any activity with bookers and storylines and pre-determined results should not be treated as a legit sport. Over the last few years, however, some wrestlers (like Undertaker and Kurt Angle) have begun adopting a more shoot style to make it seem like what they're doing is authentic, even though we know it's not. Wrestling should be what it is: over-the-top action with wild characters but with storylines that make sense.

  • @potomacbrave88 : Agreed, although I'm cool with stuff that doesn't make sense as long as it's done well and with conviction. Memphis wrestling had absolutely crazy shit going on all the time (wrestling monsters, aliens, etc...), but it was done so well, almost with a wink to the audience... give me that over 99% of what WWE has done over the past 20 years or so...

  • @DeepSouthWrestling1 Wrestling used to be competition. As Jim pointed out, all of the angles happened for real.

  • @fjccommish : That's idiotic... when was pro wrestling ever real? It was not!!

  • @DeepSouthWrestling1 it was real back in the early 1900s. It was essentially MMA without all the various techniques. It became the art form we know it as when people started paying off the wrestlers to take a dive.

  • @AxeCrow : I don't think so... what we now call pro wrestling started out in carnivals, and always had predetermined finishes. Some of the actual grappling might have been more legit back in the day, but the outcome was always predetermined.

  • @AxeCrow : No, legit wrestlers started going to the carny circuit, which already had "fixed" matches, because they could make more money there...

  • @DeepSouthWrestling1 Yep your right. I belive Pro wrestling stopped being compettitve in the early 1900's late 1890's. I think the person who started it was Georgs Hackenschmitt, because he was simply winning every match so wrestling was loosing money. His agent convinced him to add more and more showmanship. This caught on until it became all entertainment.

  • @juzt156 : Actually, legit wrestlers started going to the "fixed" fights in carnivals. The worked fights started in carnys, and the wrestlers started "competing" there because there was more money, because legit wrestling matches were dull... some lasted over 3 hours...

  • @DeepSouthWrestling1. Ok. I think Hackenschmitt was the first big name to go in for it though. I think that was mainly how it happened in Britian. But there is a big carnival and wrestling tradition here as well. So maybe the same thing happened.

  • @fjccommish Wrestling was young back then

  • wow, this is real good

  • That would,ve been better than having the last nitro with Shane walking out on the show .Do you have the rest of this story it cuts off at thestart of talking about Flair where can I get this dvd.

  • i want more!

  • that just sounded so cool

  • "if jim herd had hulk hogan he couldnt draw a house because he'd figure out someway to fuck that up" LOL

  • he's wearing a doc hendrix shirt lol

  • Did you know Jim Cornette has made it a freing ofence to sujest a luxary pillow fight to him in a booking room

  • '' wined his ass or scratch his watch.'' Classic Cornette!!!

  • Jimmy rocks!

  • He wouldn't have been able to book Bischoff like this. Great ideas though.

  • WWFU XD

  • great great talking - one of the best of them all !!!!!!!

  • Nobody else in wrestling captures my attention quite like Jim does with his stories.

  • @honourbridge agreed

  • "me and Vinnie Ro are alright now?

Bullsh*t Jim, he's the dumbass that got you fired from TNA just last week. TNA is going downhill real fast and WWE has been a lost cause even longer!

  • 8:27 LMFAO

  • 3:34-3:37 BRILLIANT
