@93Bruun I was wondering the same thing. We had a '91 190E 2.6, but in '98 it started to act up. We would have to put in gear, get out of the car and physically have to push it out of a parking space. At a red light I would have to put my foot out the door and push it to get it going. It wasn't a diesel, but it sure sounded like one. It was in the shop about twice a week for a year & 1/2, then finally it died on us, and we had to buy a new car. Was our's just a lemon or does this happen often?

@MrMrPaparazzi weak???...Theses are some of the best tanks MB ever made. Remember if taken care of they run well over 300K, so is definitely the wrong choice of words. Oh and yes they're cheap to run :)

@chattabox1114 yes weak, these engines have low torque and arent too powerful, but they do last very very very long, good engines.

That´s the straight six 2.6 engine, the 16v were the 2.3-16, 2.5-16, 2.5 EVO and 2.5 EVO II, all of them for cylinder engines. =)

Definitely not 1986 - this is a facelift 190E - Mercedes started to build these in late 1988.
