  • Tears to my eyes! It's so lovely!

  • who is this ram?

  • @GabhrooShakeen09 the ram they are referring to is this shabad is the one God (Waheguru). The name Ram is said many times in Gurbani, in referring to God, it is also the name of a hindu god (ram chand), but Gurbani makes it clear which they are referring to. Guru Ji used many names for the one God, because words are used to describe things, that is the same for the 1 God. In Gurubani Ram means All-pervading Lord.

  • @sunv2k but why not say waheguru instead??

my hindu friend said he is vedic hindu so he doesnt believe in raama

  • @GabhrooShakeen09 No one can change Gurbani, because tur ki bani aayi, this Bani is from Akaalpurkh. We say and do simran of Waheguru because that is the gur-mantaar. The word Waheguru cannot replace other names for God in Gurbani. The name Waheguru does come in Guru Granth Sahib ji also, but we should only do simran of Waheguru naam. There is no difference in the Gur-manatar and Gurbani, because they are both given by the Guru.

  • What tabla taal is being played to accompany the kirtan???

  • satnam waheguru jeeee
