My only qualm is that the ventilation myth is what causes a lot of people to lose their spiderlings...some as many as 50% of the ones they purchase. They need humidity over anything else, Avicularias like all tarantulas are passive breathers so ventilation really isn't that important...so long as they have enough air that'll do. Too much ventilation dries up the humidity too quick, and slings are usually more sensitive than the adults.
@xghoulx lol, glad to hear someone has such insight on this species/genus. My entire A.metallica was wild caught, so they are most likely not hybrids. Can you link me to any sources?
Agreed, too many people will sell other forms of pinktoes as Mets, when the only true A met is the "fiber optic" type with no red setae like this one. Also sadly you see a lot of confusion in the avicularia genus overall so breeding can be a pain for those who aren't aware of which species is which.

its definitely Avicularia metallica Cayenne - the only true metallica.
