@CME1124 I felt the same way, but then I realized, it isn't Saints Row 2 that's better, it's just that Stilwater was way better than Steelport. I think if Saints Row The Third was set in Stilwater, or a city similar to that, it would be way better than SR2.

This game has physics so shitty, I can't drive a vehicle. The graphics and colors also suck. Without this problems, it would have been an enjoyable game.

@zomzgwtf I'm referring to the vehicle physics mostly, which are by far the best in GTA 4 and are decent in Just Cause 2 on some vehicles ( not the motorcycles).
I'm a huge fan of open world games, I tried 5 times to get into SR 2 and just couldn't. That's mostly because of the rigid driving, bad colors, bad design, crappy sound
SR 2 may be more fun to play for some people but the people from Rockstar are way more talented.
Give me SR 2 on a GTA 4 engine and I'll enjoy the hell out of it

GTA's engine is exactly why the combat in GTA is shit, SR2 is more about the combat. You never mentioned anything good about SR2, In GTA all you have to do is get SWAT on you, nab an assault rifle, hide in an alleyway and you never die.

the love and protection he feels for his cousin and his friends, the fact that he even risks his life to save roman in multiple missions, and if u played to the end u would see the emotion in the ending that im not going to spoil but it is not what i would call emotionless, thats emotion

Failing at one of those categories makes a somewhat bad character. failing at all 3 makes them terrible characters.
He is barely motivated. They hardly mention it either. They mention it about 4 times throughout the story. He talks about getting money from people countless times. Ergo, his primary motivation is money.
SR2 has more emotion, motivation, and less morality issues. So its story is better, even if what you say is true.

The story really lumbered along and had every bullshit stereotype they call realistic I can think of. Remember back before Saints row existed and it was just GTA? It was called the craziest game ever and was thought of to be bad storywise?
Nico was a TERRIBLE character, I already explained how.
Either way, saints row has had a better story then GTA and deserves credit for it.

the issues with GTA 4 is that its 3 games within the same same story so it gets pretty confusing Niko Gay tony Johnny Luis are all interconnected within the main story of GTA 4 Gta has had way more challenging missions Saints row may have hard missions but the majority of them are pretty beatbale after practice Saints row has pretty Kick ass activities and all fo them r fun untill u get to crowd control level 5

i have both games but honestly i will stick to saints row 2, maybe gta LOOKS way better graphically and realistic, but no game will ever be 100% realistic, i love SR2 because it has so much to be done outside the story missions!!, i can work as a fireman, a taxi driver , i can work towing cars i can prettend to be a cop i can go inside the sooo many stores around the city and rob them or create havok anywhere i go its so .. satisfiying for me, they missed all that on gta freedom and opportunites

This game has physics so shitty, I can't drive a vehicle. The graphics and colors also suck. Without this problems, it would have been an enjoyable game.
I'll stick to GTA 4 and Just Cause 2.

@zomzgwtf I'm referring to the vehicle physics mostly, which are by far the best in GTA 4 and are decent in Just Cause 2 on some vehicles ( not the motorcycles).
I'm a huge fan of open world games, I tried 5 times to get into SR 2 and just couldn't. That's mostly because of the rigid driving, bad colors, bad design, crappy sound
SR 2 may be more fun to play for some people but the people from Rockstar are way more talented.
Give me SR 2 on a GTA 4 engine and I'll enjoy the hell out of it

@dragosc1 The driving feels better then GTA once you get used to it, its just the different controls that take awhile to get used to. The colors aren't "Bad", the design is average. The sound isn't that great.
GTA's engine is exactly why the combat in GTA is shit, SR2 is more about the combat. You never mentioned anything good about SR2, In GTA all you have to do is get SWAT on you, nab an assault rifle, hide in an alleyway and you never die.
In SR2, its much more intuitive.

Horrible Story, Horrible Charakters, the "realism" is a bad joke, no custom on charakter or vehicles, horrible guns and a horrible Map. I would give it a 3/10. It´s a bad game while SR2 is just pure fun. I had in three Hours SR2 more fun than i had in three days with GTA IV.
