There are plenty of real criticisms of Obama, and if conservatives are smart, they will start using those.

On principal, I am against abortion, I define it as an act of murder. In practice, I am a celibate man, so it's not a matter than concerns me.

The divide when it comes to moral beliefs on this matter is so wide that it really has no place in politics. I am merely pointing out that Obama should be criticized for the murders he commits directly, via his missile attacks in third world countries, and for the wars that he is maintaining.

Because politics is about force, the initiation of force. The moral divide is simply too wide on this issue, for any "public" policy to be appropriate.

What I would say is, focus on voluntaristic, rather than political, ways to support your position. Support contraception, private welfare systems, and community support for Mother's who otherwise wouldn't be able to survive with a child. These are real solutions, legislation is just force.

It's getting wider all the time. The problem is that many people, probably a majority, don't define abortion as murder, they don't see the embryo as a person.

I don't see the U.S. legal system as an effective arbiter of the law, they may have a monopoly on police and courts, but the legal system is far too corrupt and destructive to appeal to. Even if you did change the law, what would be the outcome? Mothers and doctors in prison? How does that resolve the original problem?

I don't see how that would solve the original problem of abortion. Sticking otherwise non-violent, productive, people in a rape cage, dehumanizing them, and dominating their existence would neither repair the damage done, nor discourage more abortions, people would only seek unsafe black market abortions which would cause more deaths. Well then that is a problem with the law system, it's the problem of having a single authority legal system, which supplants God's divine law, and attempts to make men the judges.

Certainly you should not be made to support abortion if you are against abortion, but neither should you usurp God's position, and pass judgment on and punish those who have abortions. Real Christianity is about forsaking the material, for the spiritual, it's about faith in God's law.
