@giani108 No actually that's not at all true. It is very possible to sing and dance like that, and do it live. When she was younger, she had much better breath support, and she was much healthier. The stress, depression, social pressure, and gossip have really hit her hard. She used to sing and dance like that all the time.

I think the record company has hyped up her sex appeal and "breathy-vocals" stuff so much that she's afraid to sing or dance anymore really because it won't match up to the super stuff they can do with the special effects. i wonder if anyone has ever realized ONE thing about when she sings live and when she doesnt... when she sings live, like on here, it usually shows the band and backup singers.. if your gonna use playback why in hell would you have bands and singers.. you want them to fake it throughout the whole show? thats pretty pathetic.. now when she lipsyncs they usually dont show any band because its playback of which you dont use a band for.. i could be wrong but thats how i look at it sometimes

But i don't really think thats the case. I think that they want the attention on the performer instead of the instrumental itself.

Um...Circus was DEFINITELY not her best vocals. She used to have a vocal coach when she was younger, then she did her first and second album. She doesn't have her old voice. I'm a big fan too, but don't convince yourself she can sing well. The Circus album had a LOT of studio editing done to it.

Vocal enhanced to put an effect in her voice that I love, but I still prefer her "live" voice (DAMN a demo of Gimme More needs to be released, with no effects, like what happened with Break the Ice!).

For all you Chris Crockers, I am not saying she can't sing, just that it's impossible to dance like that and sing without making heavy breathing noises.
