What happens here is (this isn't the only part) there is an angle on the ledge. But what makes the actual push off the edge is that MGW is actually shielding while this happens. If you have ever shielded while next to someone they get pushed a little. Try it.

I'm guessing it happened because you fell off, through velocity, G&W's shield, or both.

2. The dacu is completely irrelevant. The falloff can occur from the dash attack as well as the upsmash.
