@TheBlanketwer i would wear box braids for 3-4 months and my hair would have grown like crazy and i would relax it. i'd make sure to do a strong protein treatment (aphogee) everytime before i got my braids in to strengthn my hair. When it wasn't in braids, i'd wear it up...hide my ends. my hair grew to BSL in like 3 years...i wasn't like uber proud of myself or anything because it was just methodical.

Not all non-blacks and mixed people can grow their hair fast or long because of a genetic or health limitation.

Most black women have hair that's less than 4 or 5 inches long. Not even enough for a pony tail. Mostly, its due to bad hair care habits but it is what it is. Just because you can show a 1% example to the contrary means nothing.

We can have long hair if we got the genes, health, and technique regardless of hairtype. Some people will have to work harder at maintaining length because of dryness, coarsness, or curl pattern but they still have the potential of growing long at any pace. Being a certain race or ethnicity only affects the texture or type of hair you will have but the rest is up you and heredity. Not all non-blacks and mixed people can grow their hair fast or long because of a genetic or health limitation.
