I find the "absence of guard" to be most dangerous, especially in sabre. Any attack immediately draws the parry and is highly vulnerable to a good feint.
Cut-Overs would have made their attacks more successful imo.
Nonetheless, it is good to see how a bout with actual sabres would turn out.
They are, as far as I know, real 19th century sabres, blunted down.
