Well I'm sure if you asked JP, JS or SV who their influences were, Eddie would be in there. He was a guitarist so incredibly ahead of his time and was a pioneer in modern day guitar. Sure he's not as technical as guitarists now but back then, he was the epitome of rock guitar

This version of the old 1964 Roy Orbison classic by Van Halen sounds very cool. They should have picked this version for that 1990Julia Roberts movie of the song title because it's sounds so rockin'

Van Halen had their great moments but this has got to be the second worst music video I've ever seen right after Mick Jagger and David Bowie in Dancing in the Streets. A real case of some young director who just got out of film school and wanted to spend the maximum budget on some nonsense.

Still a good song, but they left a complete line out of the original Roy Orbison version.
I guess they just put their own twist to it.

I believe the intro is not really the song's intro, but the song that preceeds it on the album. The intro is actually a seperate track called "Intruder." Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

This version of the old 1964 Roy Orbison classic by Van Halen sounds very cool. They should have picked this version for that 1990Julia Roberts movie of the song title because it's sounds so rockin'

Van Halen had their great moments but this has got to be the second worst music video I've ever seen right after Mick Jagger and David Bowie in Dancing in the Streets. A real case of some young director who just got out of film school and wanted to spend the maximum budget on some nonsense.

What a genius the creator of this video was....Have the greatest gutarist of all time dress up as a cowboy and not play guitar. Just stupid. I dont care if it was 1982 or whatever, whoever made the decisions back then made the wrong one in this case. I wonder how quickly Van Halen would have gotten popular if the guy would have shot them live in LA at the Whiskey a go-go? Hummm......Still interesting though.
