  • Thank you for great taiko video. I like it.

  • I love taiko festival

  • They are great. Good art of taiko.

  • Great taoko dojo.

  • What's the metal sounding ticking sound? From what instrument does it come?

  • Brilliant is all >>> TOTALLY BRILLIANT!!

  • I tried moving to the rythm. But now I can't feel my rear.

  • I thought SF was Street Fighter lol! XD

  • This is a dream of mine - to learn and practice Taiko as another art form to add to my repertoire - this has always amazed me and makes me want to sell it all, hop a plane and make my dreams come true! :) Of course, I'll take the wife and kids...LOL!

  • as the guy says, play this at my funeral and I'm climbing out of the box.

  • damn my arms would be dead after an powerful performance like that!!! KAMPAI!!! :D

  • Actually being there must have been like a shot of pure adrenaline.

  • major chills <3

  • @03veritas major Goose bumps !

  • Wooow you guys went to Taiwan!

Where's the guy that works at PikaPika?! xD

  • I loved the whole video! Much energy. Did anyone notice the last second of the video making that noise. It made my day.

  • I like it, its verry powerfull.

  • This is fantastic!

  • Outstanding!

  • that was awesome!!

  • TSUNAMI

  • THIS MAKES MY BLOOD RUSH. WONDERFULL THEY REALLY PUT ALOT OF ENERGY INTO THIS, AND ANYONE WHO CRITISISE THIS, BETTER BE FAMILIAR WITH THE CULTURE OF TAIKO AND ACTUALLY PRACTICE, I ALSO PRACTICE KENDO AND LIVE IN JAPAN FOR A LONG TIME, BUT NOW THAT IM FAR AWAY FROM THE LAND OF THE RISING SUN IT MAKES ME REGRET THE FACT THAT I DIDNT APRECIATE AS MUCH ITS CULTURE AS I SHOULD HAVE, GUEES I GOT CAUGHT up WITH THE NIGHT LIFE IN ROPPONGi, DEFINETLY GOING BACK TO JAPAN, KAMPAI

  • @PigeonPDT Practice how to use your shift and caps lock keys properly.

  • @pleappleappleap its an anti-hater tactic !

  • i noticed that they also used a considerable amount of kakagoe in this performance as well. but you have to remember something... they performed nonstop pounding drums for seven minutes. have you tried to do that? it's not easy. esp for the two drummers on the big central drum - b/c the head is so large, it requires very, very strong strokes. the kakagoe helps to build strength and keeps the intensity of the piece. its also why martial artists use it. its the spirit.

  • They seem to work themselves into a trance then into a savage frenzy. Beautiful

  • hahaha. Japanese fire dragons burning through the terror, destroying all that was left of the ashes of tyranny. Justice and liberty throbbing in the veins of humans, defiant to the end, victorious for our ancestors.

  • Too much kakagoe!? Yeah that's how we do here in the Frisco City. The Old World gave us this wonderful gift and we are returning the art how we see it right. Savage beasts will eat you alive like tigers escaped from a zoo.

    Investigate 911.

  • what.

  • ahh?

  • Huh?

  • I don't know about this one..... Energetic alright but they scream (kakegoe) too much like savage beasts. You don't see that in Japan.

  • You know, I would have have made a point that these performing are really getting into their work and expressing it, but when you gave the Japanese translation, I just couldn't bring myself to it.

  • well i practise kendo and we do a lot of kakegoe, it boosts ure resistance a lot, so its ok to do it in taiko i guess cause they use a lot of energy .......

  • いいね!(^^)

  • Friggen sweet

  • Sound like the song that's on Rising Sun. Same band, Damn i want too see one, can anyone tell me where is is in Phoenix...

  • The Phoenix Matsuri Festival and the Arizona Asian Arts Festival feature Taiko Kai and Fushicho Daiko (actually they share many of the same members). They're fabulous.

  • It is the same song as in Rising Sun - Tsunami - and this is the same group that performed it in the movie. I have had the pleasure of seeing the San Francisco Taiko Dojo perform this live several times, and it is much better in person. The Sacramento Taiko Dan is also very good.

  • ya they rock live, they come to santa cruz (where i live) every year, one of the best shows ive ever seen.

  • Finally I realized how to get rid off aggresivity :) Warful job...well done

  • The best Taiko group around!

  • Freaking awesome! I'd love to see this live!

  • I can feel the energy! I'd like to learn this art one day..!

  • i'd actually say the performance in new orleans was a bit better than this one. probably just because i saw it live and felt it... oh man.

  • Great...just great. I have been to their live performances and my body still vibrates with the sounds and rythms they produce. Great shows.

  • War beat.

  • I just saw Kaminari Taiko of Houston perform this in New Orleans. It was an incredible spectable. The large they use in the largest playable drum in North America. It is an incredible experience to witness these peformances in person.

  • OH MAN i was there too and it was SWEEEEET!!!!!

  • i will say juist one thing XD

  • I had the pleasure to see them perform at this years Cherry Blossom Festival. It's a joy seeing their spirit and energy on stage.

Watching their performance of this piece live is a real treat. You really get to see the scope of their talent and how they really get into the piece.

  • Yeah, they really feel it!

  • man, I just have to keep coming back to this one. I thought it was awesome two months ago, and still feel the same way.

  • fabuki daiko, a group of taiko drummers from Winnepeg, Manitoba played this when i was at International Music Camp. I love the recordings, but it is seven times better in real life.

  • good stuff. i just had a new year taiko drumming group come to my school and perform! It was absolutely stunning!!

  • Arrechisimo

  • I Miss Playing Taiko.

  • absolut irre ( gut )

  • Excellent video editing!

  • hen hao!
