Around 2:52, there is an amazing shot where the mother bug resembles a "second head" on the ant. It would be interesting to find out if these mother bugs always looked this way, and it's merely a coincidence, or if adapting a shape and color akin to the ant's head, which would help camouflage them during transport, could have been developed over many generations.

I have actually witnessed a war between 2 colonies.  Man I'll never forget it. I wish I had it on film though.

It was RED ants against Black. There must have been thousands. There were 1 on 1 fights, 2 on 1 and sometimes 4 or 5 on 1 or whatever. Just a big group of numerous fights going on. When some would get injured or killed, there were ants that would come on the battlefield and carry away their friends. All of them just biting and literally ripping limbs off.
