I think Alien vs Predator was one of the worst films ever, the games were not as bad but still they just don't even touch upon the Alien franchise. It's just amazing, the only thing is I'm rather worried and somewhat doubtful of SEGA's ability to make this game correctly. Oh well, I can only hope it meets my xenomorph needs! :D <£

In this game, you get to lead a squad of 4 marines as in Republic Commando, except that you'll be able to control each one of them.

The events of the game are set after Alien³ and the player will have to investigate what happened on the Sulaco and on LV-426 (which is weird since the colony was blown up by a nuclear blast in the second movie).

@gameduct Thats cuz they had the feel of the aliens 2 game while also having a select variety of weapons and tools,i even managed to kill one alien with the blow torch(i kinda had to)not to mention it had superb multiplayer options and of course the use of the exo-suit,however the new aliens vs predator game was short,had less weapons,and the fact even while your cloaked as a predator if you do anything at all your spotted,also the game was short and a lot of the levels bad,and only 1 predalien

As a hungarian, I can say Nimrod Antal is not bad, his films are overally good - But to make a Predator sci-fi movie with its legacy is a frakin' big challange, even to the bests ( ridley, cameron)

I.M.A., the result's nice & clever but only some gameplay are a bit weird compared to AvP & AvP 2 games...

i think it should be kinda free roam (i like free roam), have control of a squad (at a cretain point u can call in reinforcments if they die), airstrikes(from a freindly aircraft but it has to rearm every use), and maybe some story twists (like a geneticlly altered face hugger that turns humans into aliens instead of impregnating them or some crazy shniz like that)

well dark if the new avp was the following series from avp 2 we probably woul end up with more features and skin , but since the game itselfs is the continue of the alien 3 (50 years before that ) we get a new avp style with less skin not so many maps , a afull sound from the smartgun, not the real preadtor vison, alien dont get nightvision , the flame thrower sucks even on aliens , marines cant crouch jum high or run faster like avp series , aliens cant hold the tail for a strong attack so yea

The 'Aliens' RPG (Obsidian Entertainment) has been recently canceled. Then 'Aliens: Colonial Marines' (Gearbox Software) and 'Aliens Vs. Predator' (Rebellion) are both published by SEGA but are two different projects. The first one, 'Aliens: Colonial Marines' was canceled for the PlayStation 2 system and came back for NextGen systems.

Don't worry it's not canceled. Have a look at the 4th vid in my 'Aliens: Colonial Marines' playlist (5h0dan's Jace Hall Show ep13 video).

I have not tried the complete PC Rebellion-SEGA's AvP game yet. Just a console demo that disappointed me... but, indeed, the solo mode seems to be nicely immersive and to offer a great atmosphere experience...

Gearbox I think you may be the last chance die hard fans have. DON'T FUCK THIS UP. I'll wait as long as I need to, but whatever you do with this game, MAKE IT GOOD. No half-measures, no stiff, chocky animations. There had better be ADS for the weapons too, where applicable. And if you're doing a squad-directive shooter, that's fine. But don't make the game an impossible mess to play by giving a marine an order only to have him hump a doorknob in the wrong spot. YOU BETTER FUCKING DELIVER!

Well it isn't relatively new that the two series mixed. It was done in comics for well over ten years from what I atleast know and in my opinion it really makes sense the way the two mixed. It is a far better mix then any other mash up verses poo we the people tend to go for like Freddy vs. Jason, etc. The story arc behind the avp stuff tends to fit well without messing up the Aliens or Predator story at all. The only thing that has happened as it is two mixed now to disregard the two as 1

The predator's are more so civilized and cultural based with a code of honor where the glory is in following the code and the honor is in death. The alien is primal and and unattached by societal influence, unapologetic and is only concerned with any means to attain and retain being alive. The battle between those two species is more then a typical fanboy blood bath but two directly opposite ways of thinking going head to head.

@camf33 Sure the predator or the avp movies maybe aren't cinematically better then the Aliens series by itself to date but the differing statements the two creatures represent is where the integrity lies. Both creatures were visually designed to show what concerns them and how they think. The vibe both creatures offer looking at living and death differently. Aliens and predator by itself is more so a scarefest but at least together it's a little deeper than that.

Thanks for you comment. Indeed, the Aliens RPG has been recently canceled but I'm not that sure these conceptual artworks were coming from the RPG project. If you're right, it would means Gearbox Software was in charge of the RPG with Obsidian Entertainment (?!)... I write that because most of these visuals are visible in Gearbox's studios : have a look at the 4th vid in my 'Aliens: Colonial Marines' playlist (5h0dan's Jace Hall Show ep13 video)...

This is da game that could either put GearBox on the top with the greatest or leave them on a SUPREME SHAME after all the time i've been waiting (and many others) for this. Im so pest for the time is taking to this franchise to get a seriously cuality game and recognize it deserves. After all what GBX said about this title... i don't know,some times i feel like is too good and too much to be true..is not a 4 year wait, is a 24 year wait...you all know...
