To everyone that drives for these companies I don't dislike any of them and I respect every trucker out there. I have hauled grain for years, but I only do it part time. @MrRottenApple I use to work for Crete and their trucks are so slow that even Swift passed them. I am so happy I was able to stop driving once Crete governed their trucks for 61 MPH.

@TheRoadHammer1 werner didnt get bought out. theyre 100% debt free and employee backed. and i already know that youre gunna ask if the reason im stickin up for them is because i work for them. the answer is yes. im a proud owner op. dont matter where you go youre gunna have nicknames or people pointin fun. nobody ever congratulates the good drivers.... so thanks alot ya'll ill stick with a company that has world wide job security

@wrldwrtwo What actually was is that werner, jb and swift merged their logistics. It wasn't they were bought out, they merged the logistics to make things better for the company, drivers and customers.

FYI There is not one perfect company out here one that may be good for you may not work at all for me ! like my job small company good boss don't always see eye to eye but still respect each other . If he is doing well at swift and is generally happy tell him to stay there especially in this economy . have a great day

I know I am 5 mts late to comment back but if you quit after training you will owe the company (school) around $5-$10K because you sign a contract to work for them for a year to pay off your schooling.

penniless? i went through training at central refridgeration, their top driver made over 250k in '06, i personally drive water transports for oil drill rigs and make well over 100k, even the old guys who dont WANT lots of hours or work still make over 60k per year......how is your reasoning he is penniless?

how do you work 100 hours a week and get 50k? minimum hourly wage? my company STARTS at 18 per hour, and a 70 hour week is considered a bad week. but damn man, i dunno if i'd do it for that low of money, whereabouts did you drive for the drill rigs?
