By the way - sorry to nit-pick, but the chap that said the British assault rifle was invented in Germany was wrong. The SA80 was designed at the Royal Enfield Small Arms Factory, Birmingham, England. Additionally, when it was upgraded by HK in the late 1990s, HK were parented by a British company, making even the upgrade technically British. That is not to say, by the way, that the MOD shouldn't have bought a German weapons system.But why are we discussing guns and war anyway? Comedy is funnier.
