i dont knw about u guys, but did you notice a flash of lite at 2:57? wen Ben turns around. and who else do we know that has 'telekenessis'?(Dr. Linus) that's right. smokey's the one that's in the cabin. also, the man there looks a bit to old to be jacob. u may even say he looks a little . . . dead. I dont knw if the LOST creators intended this, but i think that this is smokey in the cabin. i also think that the 'white ash' keeps jacob out. ya know, as part of the RULES to their GAME.
I think Jacob spoke to Richard in front of Ben without Ben being able to see him. It made Ben feel stupid and little so he decided to put on a show and pretend he was seeing Jacob in front of John. But it backfired in a BIG way. haha!
I think Jacob was in the chair but Christian/Smokey was in the other chair and he was the one who made all the metalic objects in the room fly around (elecromagnetism) to stop Locke from listening to Jacob...

I'm not too sure about why there appears to be two entities in the cabin . . . but it's very heavily implied that it's Smokey/Jacob's nemesis who is trapped in the cabin. That's why the cabin was surrounded by the ash line, and why when Smokey breaks free and inhabits Locke's body, Illana and the others find that the ash line around the cabin has been broken, and she states that Jacob has not been in that cabin for a very long time -- that someone else had been using it.

What was in the statue was Locke's body. That's right, Locke is, for all intents and purposes (so far) truly dead. So where is Black? Easy... He found his *Loophole* by taking the form of Locke himself. Black is disguised as Locke. Freaky.

Well Adam, if you were a true fan of LOST you would know these answers. John visited Walt three years later on the streets when he was trying to bring everyone back to the island. Walt is know being raised by his grandmother. The Polar Bears were brought to the island by the Dharma Group. Remember the cages that Kate and Sawyer were kept in...Polar Bear cages. Why they were brought to the island is a mystery, but we know it was for scientific purposes.
The smoke monster is still a mystery, but we now know where it lives...under the temple. I will admit that the show has "lost" a little bit of thunder from last season.

Christian would be too obvious of a person to be Jacob, he seems to me more of a emissary of some sort w/e for Jacob, plus when Hurley looks in the Cabin that one time and sees Christian sitting in the chair, another person suddenly comes out of the corner and looks at Hurley, the same eye that we saw in this video, which is Jacob. So Jacob and Christian are 2 separate characters. Frank J. Lapidus? J as in Jacob? Pretty interesting but I just dont see anything special about his character. lol
There are some other possible people that I've heard people say be Jacob. Angelo Bussoni, the guy Jack did surgery on in a flashback but failed and he died, his facial looks are similar to Jacob. i think jacob is something that take the shape of an object of a persons grief... that's how ben says he can 'find out about an emotional struggle in their lives and exploit it'. Except, I'd rather it was not paranormal.
When Ben first came to the island as a litle kid he saw his dead mom and that gave me a thought. What if Jacob realy is dead? Maybe he's that guy who brought Ben and his Father to the island for the first time or something like that. This theory is based on that Jack saw his dead father on the island but it was hard for anyone else to see him. Maybe Ben is the only one taking orders from Jacob becuse he's one of the few pepole that can see/hear him.

So Ben has a split personality, like a lot of abused kids. He said *help me* in a funny voice and wasn't even aware of it. Yeah, a figure briefly appeared in the chair, but so did Ben's dead mom, Jack's Dad etc. Jacob doesn't exist. He's Ben's long dormant "good side" - suppressed since Ben's dad told him he killed his mother.

i think jacob is something that take the shape of an object of a persons grief... that's how ben says he can 'find out about an emotional struggle in their lives and exploit it'. Except, I'd rather it was not paranormal.

I have a small theory of what/who Jacob is.
When Ben first came to the island as a litle kid he saw his dead mom and that gave me a thought. What if Jacob realy is dead? Maybe he's that guy who brought Ben and his Father to the island for the first time or something like that. This theory is based on that Jack saw his dead father on the island but it was hard for anyone else to see him. Maybe Ben is the only one taking orders from Jacob becuse he's one of the few pepole that can see/hear him.

thats cause that is locke dude...it's showing lockes face when he hears 'help me'. It's not showing jacob. Jacob has long hair and a beard, but in your defense, it actually looks like jacob could be an older shaggy locke from the future....as weird as that sounds...they flash him at 2:56 until 2:57. My guess is that jack was drunk when he was talking about his dad to dr.hemel he was drunk. At the pharmacy i thnk he wrote the thing himself and claim his dad wrote it. In the cofin i believe is Ben I think only ben kate sawer and jack got off the island When jack met up with kate by the airport kate sed she had to go or he would get woried He is sawyer Jack wants to crash again to go back to the island and be with the other people from oceanic flight 815 who didnt die

Ok my guesses for the FLASH FORWARD: when jack starts talking about his Dad at the pharmacy the woman says ill check up on this to make sure he says dont bother as hes lieing and when jack gets bollocked for drinking on the job he says get my father down here and if hes not as drunk as i am u can fire me the dr.hemmel looks at him funny as if he knows jacks dad is ded lol.. altho any guesses to who was in the coffin? my guess is Ben but i dont know how or why?

Seriously, you guys who think this show or this scene sucked have no taste for subtlety. What did you expect? Some big monster inside the hut? This scene was creepy in a clever and understated way...not over the top or sensational like typical Hollywood BS. I think this series is smart and refreshing. If you don't get it, you've grown too accustomed to the taste of media swill.

So Ben has a split personality, like a lot of abused kids. He said *help me* in a funny voice and wasn't even aware of it. Yeah, a figure briefly appeared in the chair, but so did Ben's dead mom, Jack's Dad etc. Jacob doesn't exist. He's Ben's long dormant "good side" - suppressed since Ben's dad told him he killed his mother.
